I felt that Dr Halsted really was not interested in my issue, and sent me down stairs for a “custom” brace which caused agony after a couple hours.

Dr Halsted is all business, and business is excellent. 5 out of 5 would recommend.

Excellent explanation for every detail and perfect surgery for a serious injury. The doctor even offered his personal number to call since the day after the surgery the hospital was closed. On my call he even had to come home and help me remove the hard protective material from my hand. Extremely grateful and happy

I had a great experience for someone with wrist problems the Dr. Is very quiet but kind. His staff are very helpful and efficient.

I went to this office to see if they could figure out why after 4 months my wrist was just not healing very well and my hand, wrist, and lower arm are visibly swollen. They assigned Dr. Halsted to my case. When I finally went in to see him he took one look at me, (I truly believed was because of my age 67 yrs.) and stated I had arthritis in my thumb (which I basically already knew because I have had RA in both my hands for yrs.) he proceeded to move my thumb and wrist slightly to declare that I didn't need surgery. Grant you, surgery was not what I was interested in or wanted for sure, I have had enough surgeries to last a lifetime! He made me feel that was the only reason I went to him to begin with! When I tried to explain it involved my wrist more than my thumb, he jumped in with, it is because the splint the hospital gave me and I have been wearing since 5/8 has made my wrist stiff even though I explained that 2x a day I made sure to move & flex both my fingers and wrist to avoid… just that. Well, his recommendation was to go to rehap, which I will give a chance now that it seems to be my only option, have them make me a better splint, which after a few hrs hurt my wrist so bad I went back to my original splint, to have them help me get my mobility in my wrist back. This all took place within 5 to 7 minutes! I left his office quite upset because I felt that he was rude, obnoxious, and clearly did not do his job! If nothing else, I thought that I would have been sent to have more testing done that would show more than an x-ray would to find out exactly what was going on with my wrist. Then, to top it all off, I went to my partners health account to see the review of my visit with him and was not surprised when it stated that it was my right hand rather than my left hand, the hand involved, he made the diagnosis for! Boy, you think he was paying attention to his patient? I would recommend that future patients steer clear of this Dr.
