Dr. Douglas Alan Hanzel, MD

I will never know if Dr. Hansel is a good doctor or not. I called for an appt. and was told I would be called back to schedule this appt. because the scheduler was having issues at that time. It’s now over a week and no phone call. Went on apneaboard.com and learned how to adjust my crap machine myself.

Impressed with the way office staff was so friendly & the Doctor's bed side manor .

I first saw Dr. Hanzel while I was a dialysis patient. My dialysis manager suggested I seek another doctor for health issues beyond my nephrologist's specialty. He was a miserable little troll absent of "people skills." In fact the other doctors told me how bright he was; he probably was a good researcher but should have worked with monkeys in a lab setting. At that time Dr. Hanzel was head of the Critical Care Dept. at Candler, so I made an appt. and immediately liked him. I believe I've been his patient for about 25 years. My most memorable experience was when I was sceptic and was in the ICU for two weeks. It encouraged me to see his interest in my condition and my improvement. Nancy, his nurse is super! It's evident that she knows much about nursing and medicine. The front staff has always been very friendly and accomodating.

Was good a explaining what it was cause and effect. Gave good options

Everything was timely and informative. I especially like getting written reports so soon after the visit.

The appointments and care I have received have been outstanding.

Dr. Doug Hanzelis a wonderful Doctor. You can't go wrong with him. He makes you feel comfortable in his office,and he doesn't rush you.

No waiting! You are in, you have short wait in inside wait room while vitals are taken and short interview and testing by nurse. Doc visits. Doc examines. Doc talks. I ask questions. Doc answers. Goodbye. Check out and schedule next appointment.

Dr. Hanzel has been very complete with his check ups and consultations. He is thorough and complete with his exams and with his consultations. I have a lot of confidence in him and his judgement.
