Dr. Douglas Robert Liepert, MD

This guy is a hack I went to see him back in 2016-2017 for a tonsil stone issue! First thing he did when he walked in was look up my nose and ask if I had issues sleeping! Told him tonsils are the issue here, then went from the sleep to some dumb book for acid reflux. Again looking for tonsil relief here not a Gerd issue which I have taken care of. After those two non issues were thrown at me, the sleep study was pushed and pushed for by him! He said without it he couldn’t even begin to code insurance for tonsil removal as “removal is not a thing anymore!!” So I took the bait and did the sleep study and sure enough I had sleep apnea! Shocker I know!! By the way tonsils were never mentioned again at any point. In case you are wondering yes I still have issues with tonsils 7 yrs later!! I see he has started a office under a different name, I wouldn’t take anyone to see this guy nor recommend him to anyone!! Total con artist, how he is still allowed to practice is beyond me!

Dr Liepert was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain a rarely seen condition and offer possible solutions. He gave me hope

I went in for an ear problem, but the office made me fill in a survey about my sleeping habits. I told them I was not there for sleep issues, but they told me it was standard. He came in, started measuring my neck, telling me that my hearing loss was due to sleep apnea, and that I needed surgery for a deviated septum. He kept pushing me to sign up for their (surely quite profitable) sleep clinic. He was leaving and I had to ask him to please listen to my symptoms. He again told me I needed to see the sleep clinic. I went to another ENT, who found the problem and did not recommend surgery. HE DID NOT LISTEN AND RECOMMENDED UNNECESSARY SURGERY! Avoid this UNCONSCIONABLY DISHONEST doctor!!!

Things just didn't add up. The things that he was suggesting that were wrong with me just didn't make any sense. It seems hard to believe that the surgery he suggested was going to make any difference to miy sleep apnea. I will never go back to see him again.

I have been this man's patient for more than a year and have yet to actually be treated for my sleep apnea. My patience is at an end. I do not believe this "doctor" to be competent, much less realistic and he seemed way to eager to cut me open. Needless to say I will not be returning to his office. This guy is a malpractice suit waiting to happen.

I broke my nose about a year ago. I was recommended to this doctor when i visited the emergency room. Dr. Liepert came across as knowledgeable and competent and knew what he was doing. HOWEVER, he was not entirely honest with me about my options for my broken nose. The only option he presented to me was being given an anesthetic and put to sleep so that my nose could be reset, a "surgical" procedure. Only after I did my own research online, and asked him the morning of my procedure when I was in the operating room did I find out that this procedure could easily be done without being put to sleep and going through a whole "surgery". I should have done independent research further ahead of time on my options, but as my doctor, Dr. Liepert should have been honest with me about the option of doing a quick, albeit a little more painful, resetting of my nose while being alert and awake and not undergoing surgery. Instead, I opted for the only option Dr. Liepert presented me, and this… ended up costing me several hundred dollars more. I also believe that Dr. Liepert, knowing I was a college student, should have even more so been understanding and presented me the less costly option. So while I trust this doctor's knowledge of his profession, I do not trust him to offer all the possible options to his patients or to properly communicate with his patients.

I think he is a good doctor. Seems very knowledgeable in my sinus problems. Plan to do surgery as suggested
