Dr. Douglas J Macaskill, DO

This doctor grossly misdiagnosed my ruptured appendicitis as constipation and sent me home with an enema treatment. He did not order a CT scan or an ultrasound after telling him I was in severe abdominal pain. He ordered an x-ray, determined by that alone I was just constipated with no underlying cause and sent me home. I later discovered my lab results showed I had elevated white blood cell count at the time of my visit with him indicating an infection yet he did not bring this up to me. Overall he was very dismissive of my pain and directly prolonged proper treatment. It is worth noting that when I reached out to the ER director of beumont about my experience he even admitted it is very rare for a doctor to miss appendicitis symptoms. This doctor either simply ignored or neglected to even look at my test results showing a high WBC.

Dr was very friendly and cracked a few jokes. Not intimidating and communicated welll what was going on, would very recommend

Dr. Macaskill came in pretty quickly to see me and was funny! He found something wrong me that Urgent Care couldn't find and I really appreciate it. He was less intimidating then other docs and easy to ask questions to. My friends and family also had great time when they had him and if you go there I would definitely ask for him too!

What a joke! Thus guy walks around as though he is GODS gift to medicine and yet he is as pathetic as they come. I was diagnosed with "bronchitis" and yet he never listened once to my lungs with a stethoscope but had no problem staring at my chest and making me feel very uncomfortable. The nurses all spoke about him behind his back saying that he needs to retire and stop making the patients feel so uncomfortable. Maybe Dr. Macaskill you should consider using that thing they call a stethoscope, you know, the thing hanging around your neck!!
