Dr. Douglas Keith Trask, MD

Be aware when seeing Dr Trask who is affiliated with UCI Health. I was charged undisclosed facility fees that significantly increased the cost of my visit that nearly doubled the amount I expected to pay. At no point during scheduling, check-in, my appointment, or checkout was I informed that additional facility fees would be applied because the physician was affiliated with UCI Health. I only discovered these charges months later when I received the bill, leaving me with no opportunity to make an informed decision or choose a different provider. Patients should be clearly told about all fees upfront. This lack of transparency feels misleading and undermines trust. I hope UCI Health improves its disclosure practices so patients can understand the true cost of care before receiving services.

I started seeing Dr. Trask about 6 months ago when I noticed my nasal issues were becoming unbearable. He was very thorough in listening to my problem, showing his care/concern, and communicating with me about my condition. He clearly is very knowledgeable while also being approachable and funny. I appreciate that Dr. Trak provided me with a comprehensive treatment plan and monitored my progress thoughtfully. He always provided options along the way and made sure I was comfortable with next steps. Eventually I decided to have surgery because I wanted a more permanent solution; honestly, he was a fantastic surgeon and literally changed my life with how much better I feel! He went above and beyond in following up with me afterwards, answering all of my questions, and making sure I will recover well long-term. Dr. Trask was an absolutely joy! I would highly recommend him as both a doctor and surgeon.

Doctor Trask has been caring for my father for several months. From the first moment we were introduced to him, he has been providing top-notch care to my father. He is available at all hours to answer questions or to attend to my father's medical needs, he has liaised well with other doctors who are involved in his care, and he has worked tirelessly to cure my father's ailment. On top of all this, he's a very compassionate person and he has a lot of empathy for patients. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Trask. I highly recommend him to anyone with an ENT need.
