Dr. WIRTHLIN amputated my husband leg after he decided he could not save it. He told my husband he had a blocked artery, but with the partial leg being gone, there was no place for blood flow to go. Told us he should be wearing his prosthetic in 2 months after surgery. It is now 14 months and he still doesn't have his prosthetic. After being told he was no longer at Marshfield, we seen another vascular physician. When we told him the artery was blocked, he immediately responded, "there is no way your incision will heal, let alone a prosthetic to be fitted." We were so heartbroken. A year and a half now, and we start over. Thank you Dr. Wirthlin for putting our lives on hold for 15 months!!! Grrrrrr

We were very happy with Dr. WIRTHLIN. He has a good bed side manner and treats you excellent. He did a great job as a surgeon. I highly recommend him.
