Dr. Dove Cai, DO

If you have something very easy and simple going on, I’m sure she can figure it out. Now, if you have something complicated going on with your health, she won’t help. Don’t expect her to help you figure out what’s going on because she doesn’t care. She’s too concerned with putting in her notes and running out the door. I wish I switched the doctors a long time ago because I waisted so much time.

Terrible! Decided to search for reviews because I thought maybe something was wrong with me and sure enough same complaints- doesn’t listen. She keeps repeating herself but doesn’t answer your question. So I say, I definitely heard what you said but I need you to actually answer the question I asked ??????? Still just repeats herself. This has happened on multiple multiple occasions and I always end up being correct later on down the line. Thank goodness there hasn’t been anything terribly serious wrong with me because I’d be dead trying to get help from this lady. And I’m not a needy patient, I rarely ask for anything and go for a while before reaching out for care. She shouldn’t be practicing medicine, bad patient care and not educated enough to help a snail let alone a human.

Bottom line she does not listen and is unduly confident in her knowledge of medicine. I cannot go into specifics on this platform as I will be filing an official complaint; however, I have remained her patient for too long, and my health and quality of life have suffered for it.

Doesn’t listen. Condescending. No consistent follow up. I cannot wait to switch Doctors. I’ve put up with Dr. Cai for a year now and have had enough! Do not recommend at all.

I understand it's not a doctors job to care about the costs their patients might incur as a result of a visit, but when we expressly informed the intake staff and doctor that I have a high deductible plan and don't want anything done that would switch my free annual routine physical to a high out-of-pocket cost because and that doctor doesn't listen, it's beyond upsetting. Today I had my annual physical, but apparently, looking at a curling iron burn, switched the visit to diagnostic and Dr. Cai said she couldn't do anything about it. So, now, I am going to pay hundreds of dollars for an office visit. When I was with Sutter for 15 years until my doctor retired, I was always informed of how anything might impact my costs and more importantly, my doctor was very thorough. At this so-called physical exam, Dr. Cai didn't even listen to my heart or lungs, didn't check my ears or feel my throat like my doctor has done every year since birth. I feel like I didn't even receive the physical… exam I was supposed to and now I am going to pay through the nose for an office visit I can't afford. The reason our medical system sucks is because Kaiser went to Nixon and switched our medical system to for profit. If Kaiser wasn't the cheapest insurance carrier, I would NEVER use, or recommend Kaiser to my clients. I wish I had my old doctor who actually cared about me.

I have been with Dr. Cai for three years now, my mistake. She is probably one of the worst Kaiser Doctors I have ever seen. She does not review medical records when you see her for a specific problem then goes over them the whole visit you have with her, even though you have answered everything before hand. Then if you tell her you have a specific concern her answer is to fill you up with medications that do not work. I find her to be compassionless and that she treats her patrons as numbers not people. I honestly have nothing good to say about any visit or phone call I have had with her.
