Dr. Alfonso Ochoa, MD

I see Dr. Garcia in this office and she seems to be a nice, caring doctor, but the ladies in the front desk are very rude. No one welcomes you with a good morning. I tried going in this morning , the receptionist told me I needed an appointment. I told her I couldn't make an appointment because I do not know when I am going to feel sick. I woke up with a sore throat and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't strep. She rolled her eyes at me like I was such a bother. I have been seeing Dr. Garcia for a long time but she is not the only Dr. in Weslaco. I will look for another doctor that has a friendlier staff that can atleast great me with some manners!

I had went in several times with a stomach ache and they didn't run test they said nothing was wrong with me went in the following day again still with pain they didn't draw blood again they made me take a breath test that was to see if I had H P Polori came back as positive they gave me medication but I still felt sick only took it for 2 days and I went back again that's when they checked me to see if I was pregnant and sure enough I was as well so we had stop all medication and I had my daughter and went back to get the medication again for the H P Polori and the Dr tells me not to worry about it that I could live with that bad bacteria in my stomach that several people due live with it. And me believing him because he's a Dr and knows more so I went on with my life not thinking anything and living with this constant pain in my upper abdominal and they were no joke I would cry sometime so I finally saw a different Dr and told me that they wanted to check me for it again and they did… and to not my oh so surprised results yes I still had it and I was in shoked if what she had told me and the concern she had for me she advised me to finish the medication she told me don't not miss not one day take it for 14 days straight and then preceded to tell me that the HP pylori may be cancerous or if not may cause cancer that was when I realized my worst fear nobody needs to go through this but I'm only writing this so people could know that if you have this take care of it quick and be aware of what kind of Dr your dealing with they should take our health more seriously as they are getting paid to letc us know about our health!

Pleasant doctor, dishonest staff members. Taking advantage of insurance by scheduling unnecessary appointments as well as giving false data. Refused to refill medication after a two weeks visit.
