Dr. Ali Akbar Zaidi, MD

Dr Zaidi is exceptional. He’s always kind and patient, answers questions ,and always makes time to explain procedures. Comforting when you have to have injections on a regular basis. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a new eye clinic.

I’ve been a patient at Pacific Eye Associates for many years now but this was my first visit with a Retinal Specialist specifically Dr Zaidi. My situation was considered emergent...which frightened me from the beginning. The moment I met Dr. Zaidi I was put at ease. His entire demeanor exuded compassionate care & professionalism. He gave me a quality exam with an immediate diagnosis and a plan of action to repair my retinal tear quickly & with priority. He always had “ME” in mind proven by the simple fact that his first concern was to try to repair my retina WITHOUT surgery..but to use a procedure that he was confident with & experienced in carrying out. He knew the statistical outcomes with my specific eye history (prior cataract surgeries)in mind. He truly “listenen”to my concerns which were abundant & ranged from: 1) When can I drive safely since I commute to work? 2)How long will my sight be compromised? 3)What are the possibilities of reoccurrence or new retina tears?....and… more! Trust me ...I’m not a difficult patient at all but, at a minimum, I always expect mutual respect and honesty between my providers & myself....my entire experience with Dr Zaidi was 110% from the moment he & I shook hands!!

Dr. Zaidi is always thorougly professional and, equally important, very warmhearted. I've been happily recommending him to my friends over the years.

When I was reassigned to the care of Dr. Zaidi I was nervous and uneasy because my care involved eye injections. I now have been under his care for over two years - eye injections and all - and can honestly say he is better than the best. At age 85, I have had the experience of care under known and sought after medical professionals and Dr. Zaidi stands in front.

Dr. Zaidi is an excellent doctor who always keeps me informed on my macular degeneration issue. He is patient, helpful, kind and caring and always greets me with a friendly and welcoming greeting when entering his office.

doctors, technicians & assistants are great . customer service online is basically very good . front desk is good in general , except one lady who tried to ignore me .

During my initial visit for a rare eye problem, I was interviewed and examined by several well-trained and friendly assistants prior to meeting the excellent and personable Dr. Zaidi who immediately put me at ease with his expertise and willingness to explain my condition and the treatment he was recommending in terms I could understand. I have now completed two of three treatments with Dr. Zaidi. I have experienced a great improvement in my vision and have also overcome my own medical phobia. I should also say that the administrative staff is extremely efficient in processing insurance claims, referrals and appointments. Pacific Eye Care is a busy clinic but the entire staff is fun and professional.

I’ve seen Dr Zaidi twice and in such a busy practice he manages to be fully present and caring. He listened carefully and gave me very particular advice for my eyes. I feel very lucky to have received such excellent care.
