Dr. Allen F Furia, MD

Dr. Furia has been my kids' pediatrician for over 30 years. When my daughter was born I watched him examine her in the hospital thru the glass. He didn't even know I was there. He held her and let her walk with the newborn walking reflex. He treated her so gently and carefully like he thought she was miracle, just like I did. I said that's who I want for our pediatrician, and my kids have gone to him ever since. He has always answered our questions and listened. I have complete confidence in him.

HE'S HELPED ME FOR OVER 20 YEARS WITH ALL MY KIDS. I WILL NOT GO TO ANYONE ELSE. HE'S THE BEST PEDIATRICIAN IVE EVER SEEN

Great doctor! He has taken care of my children their whole life. He is a very smart man the type of doctor only years of experience can produce. He is kind and takes time to make sure you understand the best course of treatment. He actually diagnosed my daughter with a condition that the E.R. and my family doctor could not figure out and had her admitted immediate to Miami childrens hospital saving her life and preventing her from having permanent kidney damage. he is the best and I trust him more then any other pediatrician we have ever taken our kids to.

I was a patient at SFPP, so naturally when i had my children, there was no other place i would pick to send them. However, I always believed, while cold and without any bedside manner, dr furia was wonderful as a doctor and took the time for the children. However, during a recent visit with my newborn, he not only laughed at me saying my child wasnt sick, he diagnosed ME with "fearful mom syndrome" after, he proceeded to give my newborn the 4 shots that he was supposed to be given the next week. - However, problem became that my son was not okay as dr furia had said, and that night, wound up in the hospital. He had to have numerous chest xrays, they checked him for rsv, for they feared this is what he had, and he was not able to breath properly so they had to put him on oxygen - this dr was neglectful and i have put a complaint in with the Florida Boards.

Dr Furia is an intelegent great doctor. He is a quiet and brilliant man and does not always have a fun entertaining personality for the kids like some pediatricians but when you child is sick he is the type of doctor you want to take care of them. He has been able to find and diagnose correctly and treat every propblem my kids have had over the years without running a lot of unnecesary tests as he is a very smart man. My older daughter was so sick and had seen four specialist after having internal bleeding and none of the doctors found her diagnosis or could treet her. Dr.Furia spent five minutes with her had her diagnosed with a rare autoimune disease and had her on her way the miami children hospital where she received treatment in the knick of time to save her kindneys. I recieve follow up calls from Dr.Furia when he knows one of my kids is sick and his dry humor and sometimes quiet ways does make him seem to the kids like a grumpy old doctor but they also will tell you when they… are sick they want to only see Dr.Furia because he always makes them feel better!

Was not happy at all with visit to this doctor. I was surprised b/c I was previously a patient of his colleague Dr Teebagy and he was wonderful, however retiring. So I had to see DR Furia and was not impressed. He barely even examined my children for their yearly physical and had no child interaction. When my insurance bill came in I noticed they made false claims! I immediately switched doctors office and am now extremely happy with the Holy Cross Medical Group pediatrics.
