We were referred to Dr Dossett for second opinion. The surgeon in Waco never preformed a hands on exam relying on MRI we brought. Dr Dossett spent an hour with us Watching my husband walk, discussing his symptoms ordering Extensive imaging. We were astonished to find Surgeon in Waco totally missed the problem. Dr Dossett preformed 2 surgeries. My husband is no longer walking with a cane and stumbling as though drunk. We feel Dr Dossett has given us our quality of life back b

I can’t speak more highly about him. After 17 years of neck pain and a failed surgery from a prominent doctor in Houston I’m not suffering anymore! Blessed to have found Dr Dossett. He and his facility are truly amazing! 5 STAR RATING!

Awful bedside manner! After an emergency discectomy, patient was discharged. The doctor was contacted about extensive pain, but Dr. Dossett said "you had back surgery and should expect pain". The patient had to insist that the Dr. see the patient. Dr. Dossett agreed reluctantly and immediate follow up surgery was required. Not all surgeries go as planned, but this patient felt like it was an imposition to get the required care. Notable is patient has drop foot and sciatica after 2nd surgery.

He came into the room with NO shoes. It was after 5:00 but I had been waiting for over 2 hours. I was a NEW patient and he spent 2 minutes with me, LITERALLY, and said I need to just “deal with the pain” or lose 40 lbs. I haven’t been able to walk so obviously gained a few lbs but geez! After my 2 min appt, he took my teen son in his hallway to show him all of the sports players that he has treated or knew. Again, no shoes. I was at a lost for words! Was he patient shopping? If I was a pro athlete, would he help me? I’ve since had a 360 spinal fusion and was told by his EXemployee that Dossett doesn’t like to perform complicated surgeries. I couldn’t walk because of my back & this back “doctor” couldn’t... excuse me, WOULDN’T help! Do yourself a favor and save your time, money and most importantly, your body and see someone else as this doctor doesn’t care. I’ve read about his “dry” sense of humor but I didn’t see that in the 2 min he spent with this patient. I only saw an… unprofessional fraud that was more concerned with his pictures on the wall.

Dr. Dossett is one of the best back doctors in this state. There is a reason why so many pro and college teams send their athletes to him. He is a great back doctor!

Doctor Dossett was recommended to me by Gary and Terri Stilwell. We have a lot of faith in him. That was over 15 years ago.

I've read a few reviews about Dr. Dossett's perceived arrogance and my reply would be that if you want the best neck and back surgeon in the country to operate on you "get over it." Come with your questions in an organized manner and he will answer every one of them. I inquired to two Division 1 Football teams doc's as to who was the best in the land to fix my neck and both said "Dossett at the Carrell Clinic in Dallas." Plus Dr. Dossett's staff is incredibly easy to work with. My result two years after surgery is fantastic. Thank you Dr. Dossett and staff!

Great doctor who knows his stuff

Rude, arrogant, no time with patients, does not care about patients, all about the money to him.

I had Dr. Dossett review my x-rays and mri's. I am 28 yrs old and have been in pain for 3 yrs. When he sat down with me, he was very caring, understanding and honest. He did not give me an answer I wanted, but he proved to me that he is a doctor who cares, not a doctor who just wants all the money from a surgery. I have gave surgery a lot of thought and i meet with him on Monday to request the fusion. I have researched this doctor for a month, read every review out there. I am making the right choice. Now I hope the surgery goes well.
