Dr. Anthony Wendell Buren, MD

Buren could not find information on my condition which has been documented repeatedly in my chart over the years (because I have been treated for the condition many times in the past 10 years). He lacked compassion and insulted both myself and the other doctors at Encompass who have treated me. He acted like prescribing medication for acute inflammation is the same as prescribing narcotics. He told me he’d refuse to see me in the future because his colleagues failed to document the chart properly. I would never agree to be seen by him again anyway. I left in tears, feeling worse than when I arrived.

In the 14 years I was a patient of Dr Buren he was very good at listening to my medical complaints and at answering any questions. His accurate diagnoses and persistent treatment over the years helped me overcome various ailments. Dr Buren is both professional and very pleasant, making visits to the doctors office less stressful. Unfortunately, I recently moved out-of-state so I am no longer his patient. Hopefully my next doctor will be as excellent as Dr Buren proved to be over the years!

Doctor Buren is uncaring. He is primary care provider for 15 years. Insisted on in person visit to fill out Veterans form. Did not follow the directions on the form did not examine the veteran then refused to make the needed corectiond. Refused to fill out form for wife as he could not see her in person / in person is not a requirement for the form to be filled out. A patient now in Hospice care Buren as primary doctor. His response is your benefits are not my problem
