Dr. Kumaravel is very personable and will answer any questions you may have. The office staff are also very kind and efficient.

It couldn't have gone better. Dr. Kumaravel and her staff were excellent in every way.

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy at the same time. It was my first for both, and I was very nervous. I'd had some stomach pain for a while, and felt horrible. At the first consult, Dr. Kumaravel demonstrated that not only is she an expert in her field (her credentials are top-notch), she also made me feel less nervous and that she cared about me as a person, not just a patient number. While she did an excellent job of listening to my complaints and concerns, she did an equally excellent job of "patient education", carefully explaining what she'd be doing, and how I might feel after the procedures. Knowledge always makes me feel more in control because I want to know what's going to happen. Being me, I also researched the two procedures to get an even better understanding, but that's just how I am. Knowledge is power, and tends to lessen the nervousness and fear. Together, both procedures took about 30 minutes, after which I was awake, and she came to check on me! She… briefly told me what she'd found (I didn't get it all because I was still recovering from anesthesia), but she assured me that she found nothing horribly wrong. She had a great bedside manner: so kind and compassionate, which greatly reassured me. Yesterday, I went for my follow-up. The path report, which I'd requested prior to this appointment, indicated a gluten sensitivity, so I immediately began a gluten-free diet, and in three days I felt amazing! We further discussed what that meant at our meeting, and I left feeling informed about how to take care of myself with respect to my diet. She spent enough time with me to get all my questions answered (I always go with a list of questions to any doctor to get the best use of our time together), and I never felt rushed. She said she'd see me in a year, unless I needed her sooner, and then she gave me a hug, which I loved! This woman represents the best in doctors: professional and highly skilled, but also personable and caring. If you want/need this kind of doctor, make an appointment with her. I'm grateful I found her, and you will be, too. I would also like to commend the office personnel. Everyone with whom I've interacted has been friendly and helpful. First of all, I can't even pronounce her name. She was such a know-it-all and just wanted to do a procedure for my sister. She didn't explain anything to either of us and seemed rushed for time. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone who wants a reasonable explanation of the procedures planned or offered.

She was very reassuring during my visit and was very willing to spend time with me and answer all my questions. After the endoscopy she said everything looked like she had expected from seeing my upper GI . Again she was willing to go over in detail with my wife and myself of her impressions. She said she would personally call me as soon the biopsy results were in. Again she was reassuring and that made me feel a lot better. She is so kind and more importantly very knowledgeable. As promised she called and gave the results.(good)

She has done 3 procedures on me in the past 4 months. Each one went very smoothly.
