Dr. Ashok Mohanlal Patel, MD

I have been seeing Mr. Ashok A Patel at his Largo, Location For aproximadamente 26 months now he is a very caring Dr that will adjust your medications as needed till you get the right ones I really like him as a Dr. Hes always very concerned about my health and well being asks me questions about my medications. How they made me feel that prior month etc......I have seen many other DR. In the past and none of them took the time to discuss the side-effects of medications with me like Mr A. Patel. I'm very greatful that he was recommended to me. These past two years have been the best I felt in my entire life. I'm already starting to worry because I will be moving from Florida in a few months and I don't know if he can still see me via telehealth when I move to Texas. I really pray that he does I strongly recommend him if your serious about getting right. Dareo Shardar

Do not use this DR. He prescribes addictive medicines then cannot get the prescriptions right and the prescriptions run out leaving a patient in withdrawal. They do not respond to urgent voicemails, ignore faxes and calls from the pharmacy, and this happens every cycle. He requires a visit every 60 days, but they schedule past the 60 days. I believe this practice of ignoring patients who are having to stop taking medicines that warnings say DO NOT suddenly stop taking medicine is malpractice and a call to our lawyer is next after writing reviews to let people know to never ever use this DR. He is bad news, period. Or his office staff, but the buck stops at the top, and hard to blame a horrible team if the DR does not care. The past few years with Dr. Ashtok Patel has been a repeating nightmare from day one.

Unable to reach doctor. Voicemail messages ignored and unreplied. Cannot reach customer service. Unprofessional behavior by phone and desk staff.

Does not return calls. Unable to reach anyone. Voicemail messages ignored. Front desk and scheduling cause more issues than they fix. I fear for the quality of healthcare at this practice.

Dr Patel has been providing care for me about 3 yrs now and I am very pleased. I've gone from fetal position to vibrant health. I have and will continue to recommend him.

I put up with Patel for a few years. He’s got the bedside manner of a porcupine, he’s rude, & won’t even look at you. After a suicide attempt he told me to “not try anything stupid again.” Thanks for the empathy, Doc. He messed up my prescriptions 3 visits in a row, so he’s officially fired.

Dr. Patel had a full load of patients, and handled the stress of that like a professional! Inspite of all the horrible reviews he has received I liked him.I was there for medication management which IS BRIEF SESSIONS,already anyway. He does not sit and ask you , " So...how does this or that make you feel"? Every 5 minutes. If you want help and patience with what's bothering you, perhaps you need a psychologist instead. He made eye contact and was truly interested in my case. I would recomend Dr. Patel to thosee who wish to get in and out and who know what meds they need and go from there. He is a great doc, just who I needed.

My first office visit was a fiasco girl at window said I had no appointment even after I showed her the paper work from the hospital and the conformation paper from them. She squeezed me in after sitting in the tiny waiting room for almost one and a half hours. Saw the Dr all of 8 minutes, he asked how I was, all the while looking at he's computer did adjust my med's after I asked him to.Will keep next appointment but will by looking for some one else if do not get some type conversation from him. Yes I do agree with one of the reviews I read about this being a pill mill. In my wait in the waiting room two patients were talking a both said they couldn't wait to get get their r/x and leave, they spent probably 5-10 min total in the office.

Awful Dr, I cannot believe he has a degree in psychiatry or even medicine. He isn't interested in helping you, gets you in and out in 2 minutes and offers no recommendations. The office staff terrible, don't answer phone, hang up on you, don't return voicemails.

Great Doctor!!! When you are in need of help he is there for you. Its your choice to go in and have nothing to say.
