Dr. Joseph Ferlita Lupo, MD

Dr Lupo was my therapist 25 years ago. His misdiagnosis, lack of attentiveness to my issues, narrow mindedness and bias, not to mention overmedicating me with antidepressants I should never have been given then not following up to make sure they were being administered correctly/refilled on time (they weren’t), all put me in a terrible situation that enabled continued abuse in my household. I will never forgive this man for is blatant negligence that I could see as a 15 year old and now see even more clearly as a 40 year old. When a child tells a therapist they’re being abused the therapist is not supposed to smile/roll eyes and play it off like I’m being dramatic then tell me to prove it. He caused immeasurable damage in my life.

Dr. Lupo did a wonderful job with our daughter. She has grown and matured beautifully with his help and guidance. We miss seeing him and working through any issues that may come up from time to time. We wish he not retired. We wish him all the best and would love to thank him for all his patience and time. Also to let him know that A.P. is graduating form UF with degrees in the medical field. She has worked hard to achieve her goals and become a licensed dietitian. She also was accepted into Meredith College for her internship. We are so very proud of her and Dr. Lupo would be too! We would love to know how to reach him so we could invite him to celebrate her accomplishments with us. Hopefully he will see this review and know how grateful we are to him for helping her learn to focus and prioritize as well as helping us help her to achieve her goals to fulfill her dreams. This is another step ,of many, in her bright future. Thank you Dr. Lupo. You are appreciated and though of fondly… and kindly remembered. We wish you all the best.
