Dr. Brandon Edwin Gough, MD

This doctor did a knee replacement on my wife. It was such an awful experience that I don’t understand how he can still be in business. I have tremendous hate in my heart for him.

I went to 2 doctors before using Dr. Gough for my hip replacement. I couldn't have been happier with his work. I walked the hallways of the hospital within hours of my surgery, never took narcotics. I have 100% strength, which is great for my golf game. My other hip is ready for replacement - no doubt about where I am going!

I am absolutely thrilled with my new hips. It's wonderful to have no pain and to be able to walk again,Dr Gough is a great surgeon and I recommend him highly. I live 4 hours away and traveled back and forth because I'm a registered nurse and I highly value a good surgeon. I did my homework before I saw him and decided that I wanted the direct superior approach done and I'm happy I did. There is no restriction on positioning of the hip and if I didn't have 2 scars I wouldn't know that I had hip replacements done.

Dr. Gough has a tremendous demeanor when explaining his craft. I have been lucky enough to have a fully replaced right hip in Feb. 2015 & a fully replaced left hip in Nov. 2018. I cannot say enough about Brandon and his team...first class!!!

After meeting 2 orthopaedic surgeons who did hip replacements the traditional way, I was recommended to Dr Gough who uses the Superior method. I'm writing this review now 7 hours after full hip replacement. Did a lap (with walker) moving at nearly normal walking speed, sitting up, eating a regular meal, an aching pain but not more than that today. I would recommend this procedure and Dr Gough as a orthopaedic surgeon of excellence and integrity. Timeline for rehab includes few restrictions, vs. 4-6 weeks of only 50% weight bearing (walking un-aided vs. using a walker!)

I had a total knee replacement six months ago. I have had a lot of pain and swelling. Never getting to see Dr. Gough just his assistants that kept reassuring me all was well when I felt that I was not progressing as I should. After six months I had my knee xrayed and found out the knee spacer was breaking down. I probably will have to have the old one replaced with a new one. You know if you ever had a knee replacement that it is a very serious surgery. Maybe even more danger to take one out and put a new one in.

I had a hip replaced and I took no pain pills and did not use any form of walkers etc. I followed his instructions to a T and did not need rehab, just walking.... The best.

Dr. Gough provided a quick, succinct and accurate description of the proposed replacement of my right knee using a Stryker prosthetic device. I was very pleased with the description which included visual and tactile examination of the Stryker device. As an experienced and well educated professional engineer I recognize that his presentation was excellent and well structured. Dr. Gough's post operative follow up was excellent and complete. At the 12 week post operative review I suggested that Dr. Gough perform the same surgery on my left leg. After giving me a quick examination he advised me that the surgery which I proposed was unnecessary and he declined my request for the operation. After 30 months of experience with the new prosthetic knee joint I recommend that procedure be adopted and accepted by persons having a comparable presentation of symptoms and discomfort.

I would recommend Dr Gough, Had left hip replacement, after three weeks I am walking on my own and I have no pain, Never had to use narcotics.

Very courteous and knowledgeable, is patient and answers all questions, my surgery was outstanding.
