Dr. Brett W. Doxey, MD

I’ve had my fifth procedure as of separation 2022. The customer services is the best I’ve ever experienced from from a health care provider. Each time Brett has had to remove Polyps I know he had saved my life!!

Dr. Doxey did my colonoscopy I had last week. He was very friendly and explained everything very well before he did the procedure. After the procedure he explained the results of the colonoscopy to my wife because I was still under anesthesia. He followed through the next day to see I was doing well.

I will not be returning to Dr Doxey again. I am appalled by his bedside manners the last time I was in for an EGD. I have been seeing Dr Doxey for over 15 years, I paid a lot of money and put a lot of faith into him and unfortunately his attitude made things very uncomfortable. Any questions or concerns I had he treated it as though I was inconveniencing or annoying him. He is so quick to write off a concern with no other way to improve a situation, instead informing me what I already know and sending me on my way. I will be finding another doctor who cares about his patients and doesn’t just write them off as another problem.

Never seen the doctor always seen his PA she had no clue what she was doing sent me for four different cost me thousands of dollars and now long it with my gallbladder and then I had to go see a specialist for that And after I had my scope I called his office and the nurse didn’t call me for two days to tell me about the pain I was having and only called me after I left a bad message on her answering machine

My doctor left on a mission. His office put me with Dr Doxey. He did not seem to know I had had horrid sife effects from omeprozol in 20 and 40 strength. Assuming he had read my records and did know, I tried to talk him out of prescribing it again. It had caused a tebound affect when stopped because of side effects that was hard to overcome. He stated that there is no other prescribed method to deal with GERD. He then Wrote me a prescription for a drug FDA had recalled. We drove all over trying to fill it, before we were informed of that recsll. I took the 2nd prescription. We set up the procedure at a new facility I had not heard of. The doctor's office called with directions for the night before, instructing me to take my night medication with "only a swallow if water, just enough to get it down" I did as I was told. When Dr Doxey went in the next day there were pieces if the pill still in my throat. He did not do the procedure, but instead pried pieces of the undisolved pill from… my throat and stopped, brought me out, and yelled at me for the pueces being there. Following his directive is the reason the particles were there. I had to pay $75 I was not supposed to pay with my insurance and he had not done the procedure, stretching my esophagus, to allow me to take the capsules to heal my Lyme Disease, he said in an angry loud voice that I could not take doxycycline, he was more upset about that than the pill part in my tgroat, convincing me I must stip taking that, too. It was not so. It specifically stated that it had never been reported to cause any digestive problems with ulcers. When they called me back to check on me a week or so later I told them what had happened and that I would never go to him again. I later received a bill for not showing up for the appointment set at the facility when he brought me out without doing the procedure for $100. I called to schedule an appointment with a black doctor my family sees, but Dr Doxey refused to release me saying he was my doctor. He was never my doctor!

Everyone made me feel very comfortable, I felt great after the procedure. I received my biopsy results exactly a week later. Definitely recommend them.

Dr. Doxey spends times with me, listens, and explains my treatment plan very well. He gives multiple opportunities for me or my husband to ask questions, and makes certain that we understand the answer. He seems to have genuine concern for me as a patient, rather than just trying to clear the room for the next patient. I am very satisfied having Dr. Doxey as my health care provider.

After seeing several internal doctors and gastroenterologists, Dr. Doxey was able to find some relief for me. He actually listened to me and was able to easily identify a major cause of my problems that other doctors were ignoring. Great bedside manners. I'd recommend him to anyone.

After what I have experienced since May, I feel like you have saved my life. I o my wished that I had contacted you sooner. I felt finally someone knew what I was going. Through. I am grateful for your help. Thank your so much for your help.

Dr. Doxey was friendly, listened and was professional. He answered my questions and concerns and before the procedure, I believe he understood me and saw me as an individual. I am going to see him again for a colonoscopy this week. The helping staff were also friendly and courteous.
