Dr. Brian A Fissel, MD

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Brian Fissel. He is not only an exceptional surgeon and doctor, but also one of the most compassionate and genuine people I’ve ever met. Dr. Fissel has operated on me 5 times for bilateral displaced broken heels, and through every setback, surgery, and difficult moment, he has been there every step of the way. What truly sets him apart is that he never let the pressure or drama of the workers compensation system influence his judgment or the care he provides. He always focused on what was best for me as a patient first and foremost. He listens. Really listens. He has always been honest and straightforward with me, even when the truth was difficult to hear. At the same time, he’s shown compassion, understanding, and a level of support that gave me confidence during one of the hardest periods of my life. Because of Dr. Fissel’s skill, integrity, and dedication, I’ve been able to face this injury and the long road of recovery with hope instead… of fear. I truly believe he cares deeply about his patients, and that means more than words can fully express. I would recommend Signature Orthopedics and Dr. Fissel without hesitation to anyone needing orthopedic care. MOST EXCELLENT!

This is probably one of the hardest working Doctors I know. He’s so good at listening to his patients. He takes his time every time I’m with him. And if he’s running late well that’s because he’s taking his time with all his patients.

Dr. Fissel takes time with his patients to determine the correct medical action. His staff is also very courteous!

I met Dr. Fissel when my doctor recommended him for my hips that were hurting. When I went there I was expecting to hear the same thing the radiologist said which was it was arthritis. Turns out I need both hips replaced. True to his word I was walking same day of surgery and home next day. I had a setback with an infected scar, no clue how it happened. I am not progresssing as fast as others but I have had a lot of surgery to my back already and only one of them went smoothly. He is making sure I am getting the care needed to keep us on track to replace the second hip in a few months. He listens and double checks his findings and makes a plan to help me gain back my mobility. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a hip replacement.

Was really impressed by Doctor Fissel and the staff. The first time I went to your facility (knee problems about 2 years ago) I was extremely unhappy with the doctor - who had given me an incorrect diagnosis and treatment advice. I requested, and received a 2nd opinion with another doctor in your office who quickly and accurately assessed the problem and helped me immensely. (I also got a 3rd, independent, doctor's opinion, confirming the correct diagnosis.)

Had both knees replaced within 7 months. The surgery went great, recovery was/is going great too. It took about 4 weeks before I stopped eeding any walking and bathing aids. Still working on fully healing as it takes a out 1 year.
