Dr. Brian Thomas Hardy, MD

I have been seeing Dr Hardy since Feb 2026, when I fell and broke my wrist. The x-rays showed 2 fractured of big wrist bone. One across & one diagonally, creating a wedge. Dr Hardy was very caring. He had me go in every week for x-rays to make sure the bones didn't shift for about 6 weeks. He is very conservative in his treatment. He is not surgery happy. At the end of April, the plan was to wait 90 days after a cortisone injection to see if the wrist would continue to heal and give me more range of motion. It was healing and getting better, but I fell and put my hand out to break the fall and injured it again. We discussed everything yesterday and he was willing to continue with the conservative plan we had been doing. Because it had been 6 months and having to wear a wrist brace 24-7 and being in constant pain, I wanted to do surgery. He was agreeable. I have total confidence in Dr Hardy. He is always smiling and very positive & upbeat.

Dr Hardy is a wonderful doctor. I have been seeing him for years. So of course my appointment was wonderful as always. Except when I received the injection. I feel much better today. I will continue to see him and refer my friends and family to him and his colleagues

Dr. Hardy provided excellent care to me. He throughly explained the results of the X-ray to me and his recommendations as to the recovery plan. He delivered the diagnosis with kindness and set my expectations so I have hope with understanding the likely end result of my injury. I highly recommend him.

I’ve had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery and two trigger finger injections with Dr. Hardy, and the care has been exceptional. Dr. Hardy is kind, down-to-earth, and explains everything clearly in a way that’s easy to understand. My questions and concerns are always listened to, and I never feel rushed during appointments. I cannot recommend Dr Brian Hardy and the team at Texas Orthopedics Mid-Town office enough. I have been suffering from severe, chronic pain in my thumb due to osteoarthritis, which makes simple daily tasks like opening jars or texting nearly impossible. From my first appointment, Dr Hardy was attentive, compassionate, and took the time to explain my condition in detail. He recommended periodic targeted cortisone injections over surgery, and I am thrilled with the results. I have been following this regimen every 6-9 months for 2 ½ years which has prevented a surgery that will require my hand/thumb to be immobilized for 3 months, so I am very happy with my results. I have my mobility and quality of life back, essentially pain-free. The procedure is fast, and the relief was almost immediate. Dr Hardy has expert technique—I felt very little discomfort during the injection. If you are struggling with hand or thumb pain, do not hesitate to see Dr Hardy!

Hello, I saw Dr Hardy on 2/3/26 because I had 2 fractures to my wrist. I enjoyed my visit. Dr Hardy is very friendly and has a positive, upbeat personality, also very proactive. He communicates very well, and explained that if the bones shift any it would require surgery, but was hopeful that casting it would help. He wants me to come back next week for x-rays to check and see how it's doing. If it looks good, will once again go back in another week for x-rays. If nothing has shifted, then it will just be a matter of time till it heals.
