Dr. Carline Ruth Wilson Quander, MD

I recently had an appointment with my G.I. doctor, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to their poor bedside manner. The doctor appeared rushed, dismissive of my concerns, and lacked the empathy I expect from a healthcare professional. Communication felt cold and impersonal, making it difficult to feel heard or reassured about my health issues. Additionally, despite expressing that a particular medication was ineffective, the doctor prescribed it to me for the third time without considering alternative treatments. While they may be knowledgeable in their field, the lack of compassion and attention to my treatment needs significantly affected my overall experience. I hope they consider improving their patient interactions and treatment approaches to provide more supportive and effective care.

I have been dealing with Dr. Quander for quite some time now. She appears to know what she is doing, but does not explain my condition to me even after repeated requests. Last time I had surgery, she didn't even come in to talk to my family or me and we told the nurse we had questions. Her office staff are the worse I have ever encountered. I waited and worried for over a month to get results back to find out how my biopsies came out. I call for results of tests, to schedule appointments and with questions about a medication that is making me sick and nobody calls me back. I don't know what the problem is in this office, but it needs a major overhaul. There are several people in the office that when they call you back have a major attitude and still don't resolve your issue. I even was supposed to have something scheduled to have done before my surgery and they couldn't even get that worked in on time.

Very nice, but felt rushed. Also used a lot of medical terms that made it hard to understand what was going on.

She didn't hear me at all. Rushed thru procedure. No solutions offered.

The doctor was very pleasant and spent time with me explaining things. I had very little wait time- maybe only ten minutes. I was very pleased with my over-all experience.

Was very unsympathetic to my concerns. Staff was short with me. long wait time. Heard her state she "needs to retire"

I am disappointed with Dr. Quander's overall responsiveness. I was told to call on a specific day as a follow-up to a course of treatment and never received a return call. This was the second time this occured. I am changing doctors and just received my records and noticed notes for two physical examinations that never happend. Each time I was talked to by a Fellow with no exam. My insurance company was billed for complete exams.

Wasted no time and came up with accurate diagnoses twice!
