One of the worst if not the worst experience I have had with a Dr's office staff, I say this because I never got past his office personnel. I was referred to this Dr for a pressure wound on my ankle by my Orthopedic surgeon. I was contacted by this office and I was given an appointment to go see this so called Dr. One the morning of my appointment ( I had waited 5 days by this time risking further damage to my foot and patiently awaiting for my scheduled appointment) I received a phone call from his extremely rude and unprofessional, disrespectful staff to advice that the Dr had decided not to see me on account I was a self pay patient and he did not see people like me. When I questioned as to what she meant people like me, women responded self pay people. The person I was speaking to was the same women which had given me my appointment and I had been advised by me that I was a self pay, I never questioned the amount, and agreed to all, I needed to see a Dr. which could assist with… my wound. to which she express their was no problem. Now I find myself days later with a potential worsening of my wound having to once again go through the referral process, and the waiting time for another appointment. Never have I felt so insulted and demeaned. I strongly suggest for this entity to reevaluate what the health care field is all about and for this Dr to remember his oath.
