Great sense of humor, very knowledgeable, thorough

dr. gleason removed cancer in my left breast in 1996 and my right breast in 1997..she advised radiation both times and i am still around in2015

My first visit with Dr. Gleason went well. I did not have to wait more than ten minutes and she did not rush my appt., she answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. Dr Gleason and her team were quite accommodating of my schedule and made all the testing required work with my schedule. When I met with her to review all my test results (I have TNBC), she took all the time I needed to answer my questions and anticipated questions as well. I left feeling informed and knew what the treatment plan would be for me (which was developed by a team of doctors, not just Dr Gleason). I secured a second opinion from a TNBC specialist and the treatment that the team at HMC put together was the same as the TNBC specialist advised. So, I felt quite comfortable that the treatment path was the right one for my situation. I am now looking at surgery in a few weeks and am very comfortable that I will receive the best care from Dr. Gleason and the rest of my team. I would… recommend Dr Gleason and the rest of my team to others. Not all doctors may be a good fit for everyone, so if Dr Gleason is not a fit, keep looking and ask other patients who they have used. Since the pathways of treatment vary, seek a second opinion. Don't feel "bad" about doing so, the doctors do work together and should encourage patience to seek that second opinion. Made me feel at ease. Answered all my questions, didn't rush appt.

I hate writing this review but to educate someone else I must. Unfortunately Dr. Gleason told me I did not need chemo but I would only need radiation, not true I did need both. She also forgot me in one of her rooms for close to an hour. Way too many test she orders and another person who went to see her said the same thing. Just unnecessarily took to long to order surgery

Dr. Gleason is a very compassionate surgeon. She is not very timely at all except on surgery day. Not very professional. She does not present herself very well. When speaking she tends to be at a loss for words. Seems to be a bit overwhelmed. Appointment times are never what they should be spent over an hour at several times to see her for an appointment. My family members were not impressed with her at all. I thought she was a caring surgeon.

Dr. Gleason's skills together with her cordiality, make for a wonderful experience in spite of severity of illness.
