Dr. Charles Edward Miller, MD

I have very difficult time calling this comical character a doctor. Unprofessional, unethical, ruthless.

The best of the best. Nothing more to say! He is so caring and knowledgeable. His office is always busy, but it's for a reason. I completely trusted him and his expertise. He has a gift and that helped fix my secondary infertility issues that helped get me my miracle baby. He got to the root my issues when nobody else had answers. I was blessed to get pregnant waiting to start IVF. It would have never happened without him. He also has compassionate staff. I stayed with him until 9 weeks and had weekly blood work/ultrasounds. Each nurse and tech were wonderful and accommodating. They were kind and patient whenever issues came up. I will recommend him to anyone and everyone!

It’s hard to even know where to start. Dr. Miller is nothing short of an absolute genius. My husband and I started elsewhere for our fertility journey to save time in the car (Dr. Miller’s office was about 20 minutes further from our home) and what a mistake that was. We wasted a year and a half at another fertility clinic before my husband encouraged me to schedule a consult with Dr. Miller. From the first moment of our meeting, I was at ease and confident in his approach and his bedside manner. He clearly had read our (hefty) chart and identified four things that medically had not been investigated at our previous clinic. He suggested some further testing, and we got in within a couple of weeks. As an aside, all testing and procedures were completed by Dr. Miller himself, which was a far cry from my previous clinic, where each procedure was completed by someone I didn’t know who barely introduced themselves. Everything Dr. Miller suspected was confirmed by testing, and for each… identified problem he had a clear plan. He took time to invest in my health and wellness, and when my body was ready we moved forward with stimulation and retrieval. Dr. Miller’s approach worked to great effect. Two previous rounds of IVF elsewhere had resulted in only one embryo and a miscarriage. In one retrieval with Dr. Miller, we got 5 very high quality embryos, transferred one, and as of this post I am almost 13 weeks pregnant. There are no words for the care and compassion I received from Dr. Miller and his staff, but I am eternally grateful.

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Dr Miller and his staff. We had been through 5 years of infertility clinics before we found him! Our first meeting, he had read all of our charts and knew what he was doing! He also listened to every concern we had. Within 1 month of being with him, he found a blood clotting disorder no one else had found. Explaining many of our fertility issues. Love, love, love him!! And his office! Also from being at other fertility clinics, I realize how much they care and follow you and your journey. Many others don’t monitor the babies growth and progress as closely as they do! We are expecting a baby boy thanks to Dr. Miller and his team.

This was the worst experience I have ever had!!! First of all the office staff is SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They will call you back and act like they did a favor, just horrible! Dr. Miller did not listen to the previous tests I have done, and he was just pushing on doing the surgery, he didn’t care what I said, this is a HORRIBLE DOCTOR!!!! Anyways, I didn’t do the surgery and got pregnant naturally, even though he diagnosed me with infertility. All he cares about is hoe much money he makes off of you!!!

And while my egg count deteriorated, I ended up with not even 1 fertilized egg under his protocol. I am an older - albeit healthy - patient who didn’t have this time to waste. It seemed that he and his office could have cared less - we were just another number keeping the system profitable. This 5 month period was exhausting and extremely stressful. On top of the psychological implications IVF holds, my husband and I had to face the incompetency of his office while they forced us through a myriad of tests Dr. Miller was demanding. I was on top of everything I needed to do. The office, not so much. If I was told I needed a test, I had it scheduled that day. Not only did we have to stay on top of the tests - and eventually the long list of medication - but when we realized medication was missing, Dr. Miller’s office did not bother to call back. Asking questions or getting timely support was nearly impossible. After 5 months of intense stress, underdeveloped eggs and no fertilization,… Dr. Miller’s comment telling us “we are his favorite patients” seemed cynical and a sign of his unempathetic nature. The issues my husband and I ran into: 1) A surgery I needed to have had to be rescheduled a month later because of an insurance mix-up by one of his nurses. And I was told the day before. 2) It took his office a month to tell me whether I needed a stress test or not. (Other doctors / doctors offices said I didn’t need it as am healthy and just at the ‘age cut-off’. A nurse at the next office looked at me in disbelief when she heard I needed a stress test before treatment. At least if I’d have known right away I needed one I could have gotten it done right away. But I was given the run-around for a month.) 3) His nurses never pick up the phone. We always had to leave voicemails and if we were lucky, we’d get a call back that night. Sometimes not at all. No matter how urgent the situation. 4) Dr. Miller and his nurses don’t communicate. I would be told his nurses are talking to him about X. And then when I mentioned X to him, he acted like it’s the first he’d heard of it. This occurred in multiple situations. 5) He insisted I see a specialist – but I couldn’t get in with a specialist in this field for 4 to 5 months. And his office wouldn’t put a call in for me to get in sooner. I had to ask them to do it and have multiple conversations before they considered it. 6) His office took days/week to get a diagnostic code my HMO needed. They didn’t know where to get it. 7) His nurses didn’t get a hold of me to clear me for starting birth control (to start the cycle). I had to call them to remind them and verify. After all this, Dr. Miller had the balls to tell me I’m a difficult patient?! Because I’m having to call in to his office constantly to take care of what his nurses aren’t? I was always polite but persistent. Because I had to be. In dealing with his office for 5 months like this, I was under such an inordinate amount of stress every day. It was AWFUL. (I would like to add, though, that Lisa in billing was always AMAZINGLY helpful. And Lindsay, once contacted, was helpful.) The next office we went to, I never felt stress like I experienced at this office. In my initial egg count test with Dr. Miller, I had a decent amount of eggs for my age. But under the protocol he had me on, none of them developed. After that, my husband and I went to a different IVF doctor. Our IVF cycle was started right away. We were treated with kindness and compassion. This office actually picked up the phone, answered questions and cared. And I had 5 fertilized eggs first try. Unfortunately, after half a year was lost at Dr Miller’s, my egg count progressively dropped the next several cycles until I couldn’t produce any more than 1 or 2 eggs. I strongly believe if we wouldn’t have wasted 5 months with Dr. Miller, we may have had a baby in our arms instead of bad memories and regret.

Where do I begin. I had surgery with him before starting IVF he was all excited about the surgery. But didn't give me the time of day when it came down to doing IVF. I ignored my gut feeling and went ahead and did a cycle with him. To begin with if you have diminished ovarian reserve or are a poor responder he already writes you off and wants you to go right to donor egg. He cancels cycles if you don't have many follicles (again with dor its expected that you won't have many to being with). He is definitely quantity over quality. If you can't make his IVF statistics go up then he brushes you off. He had his nurse cancel my IVF cycle and not one person from his office followed up with me. I am so glad I went elsewhere and what do you know IVF did work. Also his front line staff as mentioned in previous posts are rude and unprofessional. If they put in as much effort as they did with appearances the office would run much smoother. No compassion during one of the hardest things a woman… can go through. I would stay away unless you know you don't have egg issues.

It is hard to take a guy like Dr. Miller serious when you are looking at him. A professional man his age with fair skin complexion who spends so much time on spray tan or tanning beds has to have identity issues. Just look at his old pictures and see the difference for yourself. I need an IVF doctor that is concerned with more important things.

Gave me two of my kids could not be more thankful. He is funny and has good beside manner and very professional, knows what he is talking about and ton of experience. Everyone should go here if they have any fertility troubles
