I am not one to write reviews, but some of these negative reviews are painting Dr. Codey in a bad light so I decided to post about my experience. I have been going to Dr. Codey for around 3 years and he has always accurately diagnosed me. I have recommended him to friends/family and they are all happy with him. Side note he appears to genuinely care and I have never had to wait past my scheduled appointment time, meaning he doesn't make you sit in the waiting room forever before he sees you. I really disagree with the other comments about Dr. Fontenot. I am on the road a lot so when I am sick, I usually have to go to other doctors where I am mid diagnosed. I always end up having to go to Dr. Codey again when I get home because I trust he knows what’s wrong. I wouldn’t trust the other bad reviews on here because how often do you hear someone had to go to many different doctors taking many different tests before they figure out their rare illness? He’s an internist, not an ENT doctor. If you have a certain isolated issue then go to a specialist, not an internist.

I am totally dissatisfied with this young, unskilled doctor, who totally lacks expertise. He made absolutely no recommendations for my serious illnesses. I have found this to be the same problem with other doctors at the Baton Rouge Clinic. Do not go to this clinic if you are seriously or chronically ill. They cannot help you there. They are poor at diagnosing you or referring you to someone who can.

I wasn't happy with this doctor or the Baton Rouge Clinic. He was inexperienced. And the doctors at the Baton Rouge clinic are terrible. They only follow a text book. If your case doesn't EXACTLY fit into a text book case, you probably won't get a good diagnosis. I would recommend a small clinic anytime over a huge clinic like this! Its the only to get good treatment.
