Dr. Colleen Renee Kelly, MD

I have been in a severe Crohn’s flare for months. During appointments, I often feel unheard, especially regarding pain management and the severity of my symptoms. The most upsetting experience occurred when I went to the Brigham and Women’s urgent care facility in severe pain. The urgent care staff personally contacted my GI doctor while I was there because of the level of pain I was in. Despite being two floors away from her office and actively writhing in pain, the response relayed back was essentially that if I wanted help or pain management, I should go to the hospital and be admitted. I was also told someone would call me “in a few days” to schedule a follow-up appointment. As a patient dealing with a chronic inflammatory disease, I never expected miracles — but I did expect compassion, urgency, and to feel like my suffering mattered. Instead, I left feeling abandoned, in terrible pain and left with the only solution of going to the hospital to be admitted. I would never recommend… this doctor or her care to anyone.

Dr. Kelly goes above and beyond in trying to solve your issue. I have been having recurring episodes of C. Diff for quite a while now and Dr. Kelly makes you feel like you are her only patient and she will figure out the issue. She is caring, empathetic and really understands how this diagnosis can take a toll on your life. I would highly recommend Dr. Kelly.

I will never ever forget how this woman treated me so awful and disgracefully. Clearly she does not like men, but claims her woman's practice accepts men.

Please go to see this woman if you are suffering with C-diff. She will cure the problem and give you your life back! Very grateful!

Dr. Kelly is the most caring, most empathetic doctor I have ever encountered. In addition to being a thorough and knowledgeable clinician, she takes a genuine interest in her patients' well-being and goes out of her way to help. After seeing several GI specialists who were not only unhelpful but also rude, condescending, and dismissive of my problems, I was both relieved and delighted to find that there was at least one who isn't like the rest. My highest recommendation!
