I would leave zero stars if I could. My family has been trying to find a family doctor closer to home. Read reviews and waited for our initial appointment. The practice recently moved and saw her on her second day there. She seemed very rushed, all over the place and wasn’t listening to me. I figured it was her getting settled. Went back due to a recent health concern and she was half out the door. Not listening to me and refused to address an ear infection. Just wanted me to go to an ENT. I have no problem with that, but in essence of time can you treat it? I had to ask her twice to look in my ears. She said I can’t see in the ear. So I was forced to go to an urgent care for an antibiotic. When I read my after visit summary, she put numerous false notes. When asked her nurse, she was just as rude. I asked for a physical form for my health insurance to be completed twice after she lost it the first time. I can’t even begin to describe how unsafe I felt under her care. I will never… go back to this office again. This doctors bedside manner is atrocious and should be addressed.

1st time there. New patient. Drove 1/2 hr there on my only day off. Got there 20 min prior to appt. came into small office, signed in. saw 1-office staff, I smiled, she said nothing. She was dealing w/a courier so I can let it go for that moment. As time passed, 2 other patients had arrived and were seen before me.Not once did any staff even acknowledge that I was there for 40 minutes! No one even opened the window. Finally, As I was considering leaving, I overheard the 2 office staff talking behind the glass saying...."Is she here? Is this her 1st visit? Does she need to fill out paperwork? I don't know. Maybe not because she's in the fairfield system. Next thing I know the door opens and I am being called back to get weighed. I asked her why I've been there for 40 min., why I am just now being seen when others went ahead of me. She said my appt was @ a later time. I disagreed. As I had it annotated the same @ home in 3 different spots so I wouldn't forget. (Unfortunately, they don't… call to confirm appts like most offices) I went to restroom & while there, thought about things, I told them I was cancelling this appt. and going back to my PCP. I just didn't feel like they cared that I even walked through the door! The lady didn't seem to care. They were both nonchalant. I left and decided to phone their office and let them know how rude they were and maybe next time they could acknowledge patients when they come through the door. If that's any representation of the Dr.'s practice, I wanted no part of it. I needed a practice that cares. At least fake it. I called my Other PCP & got an appt. right away. I may have missed out on a fantastic Dr. due to her staff, but I guess I will never know. The staff acted unprofessionally, (you could hear their conversations behind the glass! I believe they forgot they were @ work & thought they were @ home). The Fairfield system has provided me w/some great experiences in the last few years, this was NOT one of them. Waste of my only day off, 1/2 hr. drive and petrol.

Never needed a "diagnosis", just regular checkups. Dr McGowan and her staff were always warm and welcoming and she's one of the few Doctors I've ever seen that listened to me and took me seriously! I moved out of state, but if I still lived in OH, she'd still be my Doctor

She has an awsome bedside manner, and she listened to me and what was wrong with me. she personally told me to be paitent with her and give her some time and she will fix my problems. I personally asked her if i was going crazy as i have been dealing with these issues for over a year now with no one listening, and she told me no i was not going crazy that these symptoms were very real. She really eased my mind and i hope she truely can fix me and get me back the way i was before last year. from what i have seen she is a great doc.

Drive all the way from Athens to see her. There's a reason for that. She is an outstanding doctor and woman. She actually LISTENS and educates. These 2 neg. reviews are ridiculous. She worked at a Fairfield community health center which is a joke as are there patients. She's moved into better things and better patients (ones that work, don't collect disability for no reason, and get mad when docs don't give them narcs or benzos bc they care so they write bad reviews.) She is "AWESOME!"

Thank you for saving my life. Smart doc and wonderful bedside manner. Years of fatigue. She checked my vitamin d. It was low. She replaced it and changed my life. Docs in the past thought I was crazy. Best family doc in town. Hope she never leaves. Office staff less desirable but worth it.

Most awesome caring young woman that happens to be a doctor too. She's a Christian so knows God is the healer. Would recommend her to anyone.
