Dr Braner, is a member of the National Disaster Medical Service, and is currently chair of the Fundamentals of Disaster Medicine committee for the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

In his spare time Dr Braner enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. He is also deeply involved in the formation of a unified field theory that would tie space, time and matter together into a unified whole.
