Dr. Daniel Charles Snyder, MD

Dr Snyder ruined my life, my ability to walk any distance. Due to his neglect he cut or nicked my abducter muscle. I was limping so much and my gait was off so much it caused my knee (never had ANY problem with either knee prior to surgery) to be worn and had to have knee replacement BEFORE hip revision (by another Dr at NE Baptist). I dislocated 6 times after revision because of the mess originally caused by Dr Snyder. I went back to see him and showed him how off my gait was and he said “it will improve in time”. Well Doc it’s been 13 years and NOTHING is improved. Scheduled to see a new surgeon, for a 2nd revision. This sad excuse for a surgeon greatly affected the quality of my life. BEWARE.

Its been 5 years since my surgery. I had a bilateral replacements and never looked back. I am very grateful for everything he did for me. I have my life back and I'm doing great at 60 years old.

This "surgeon" ruined my hip, and my anatomy. Despite my clear anatomical mismatch (large neck, narrow femur), Snyder insisted on trying to force a Corin MiniHip stem into my femoral canal. It didn't fit, and he left me with a 1.5 cm leg-length differential. Furthermore, his cup choice and placement was poor (according to all 8 doctors who reviewed the X-rays). Snyder ruined my hip, and my body. It needed to be revised 18 months later. The relief was almost immediate. Yet Snyder never once admitted any fault, despite taking repeated shortcuts in his pre-op planning and during surgery. He blamed my anatomy. He blamed the stem manufacturer. He blamed everyone and everything but himself. Avoid this surgeon at all costs. He lies, intentionally and consistently. Note the previous recent reviews ... They aren't a aberration. They are proof that Snyder is a lousy and dishonest surgeon.

When I started physical therapy after my surgery, I was told I had a large leg length discrepancy. When I told Dr. Snyder, he basically ignored me and told me I should take up yoga (as I was concerned about the ramifications on my spine and my future health). I asked him what could be done with it and he said I didn't really have a leg length discrepancy. After seeing a highly regarded physical therapist in Boston, the first thing he said was - "wow - you have quite a large leg length discrepancy". I went back to Dr. Snyder and asked him to do a standing x-ray as that would show any discrepancy. He didn't want to do it but eventually did. And yes, there was a rather obvious leg length discrepancy. I highly recommend you find another surgeon.

I had a total knee replacement with dr Snyder 6 years ago and I am very pleased with the whole procedure. Dr Snyder did a wonderful job for me and I feel he did everything he could possibly do for me. He was professional yet very friendly and treated me with respect. He explained everything to me so I was very comfortable. My knee is still do great. My husband had 1 total knee replacement and 2 total hip replacements by dr Snyder all after the age of 80. He was so pleased with dr Snyder and gave him a nickname of "God #2". He had a lot of trust and faith in Dr snyders ability. My husband had ever been in a hospital his entire life so he was a little Leary, but Dr Snyder was so good to him and my husband trusted him to do all 3 surgeries.

Dr Snyder messed up both my hips -- had to have both replaced again (not with him).

Daniel Snyder destroyed my body. After one satisfactory replacement he turned into Mr.Hyde. Refusing to admit mistakes, never even saw me pre or post surgeryaccept in the ICU unconscious. Trouble listening before, disaster after surgury. After 6 months complaining of severe malfunction the moment I woke up he continued to ignore calls, passed me off to his PA. Then 'meditation' pt. I was to 'visualize the incorrect hip cup getting smaller? After dismissive unprofessional denial he suggested his colleague 'snip' my tendon so the leg could move.. After months of tests, 2nd, 3rd opinions,s, multiple complex procedural tests, they concur, Snyder chose to put in s cup much too big totally different than the one he did that WAS the successful type and size. He used me as a guinea pig for his new hip supplier without asking me! This totally different style, size and ignored all proof he screwed up. (As he did every time he was caught ignoring facts like insisting it was my 'back' pain and… refusing to acknowledge I had a torn labrum in my leg before surgery). He refused follow up MRI's etc.. Can't trust the patient might know when something is wrong and goes to any length to try and cover up his mistakes. One year later I have only 1 position this stuffed in hip can move. Former athlete left otally asymmetrical and in chronic agony. Stay away! This Dr can't hear anything but his 'telling' you he did a perfect brilliant job.

Excellent surgeon. Mini hip replacement procedure has fast recovery time, a small (3 inch) scar, and results in maximum physical activity.
