It is apparent that my experience is not an isolated case, and the primary concern goes beyond insurance matters. The fundamental issue revolves around the failure of the medical staff to follow up on the patient post-surgery, prompting us to initiate contact for much-needed information. Regrettably, our attempts to seek clarification were met with an automated message discouraging repeated calls, promising a response within 48 hours which never materialized. Subsequent endeavors to schedule a follow-up appointment were obstructed by a demand for a prepayment of $1000, a practice that runs afoul of regulations concerning surprise billing. It is imperative to underscore that legislation stipulates that in the event of emergency surgery, the patient's network status is irrelevant, a fact that the office should be well aware of. Moreover, the imposition of surprise billing for a procedure to remove a stent is not only unethical but also illegal. It is disconcerting to note that amidst… the paperwork, there exists a document coercing patients to forfeit their legal rights, a troubling indication of the office's practices.

it took 4 months to get an appointment. I was waiting over an hour and 15 minutes to see the doctor. The office staff was VERY unapologetic and told me all their patients should 'set aside' at least an hour to see the doctor. They told me Dr. Caruso was very detailed oriented - hence the wait!! Needless to say, after they repeatedly told me I was 'next to be called' I asked for a refund and left. It seems obvious that this doctor is scheduling patients in time frames that are impossible to accommodate. I really felt that I was just a number to this practice and my time was definitely not important to them. Very unacceptable customer service!!

DR. Caruso is a very caring, and brilliant physician. I have complete trust and confidence in Dr. Caruso

Dr. Caruso’s patient scheduling is overbooked. I’ve been a patient over ten years but decided to find another urologist. Rarely have I been called within fifteen minutes of waiting. Two hours wait time and more is the norm and that’s disrespectful to patients. The front office staff could care less if patients actually have lives. When I asked for a copay credit the lady never asked why and didn’t care. Dr. Caruso has too many patients scheduled at the same time. Office management is poor. I’m not going to be inconvenienced any more and that’s too bad because he’s a very competent physician. I’ve burned this bridge. Hopefully this practice will make major changes. No other medical practice I’ve been to treats patients with disrespect such as this one.

His doctor does not value his patients’ time. Patient’s wait hours and I waited two hours twice and still did not get the procedure. He over schedules and I don’t think it’s because he’s being kind to his patients.

Was not aware of Dr. Caruso visiting me in the emergency room after a bad fall so I must apologise for the bad things I had to say about him and Medicare. please ignore all I had to say earlier. Alan Rhoades

This doctor and the entire staff is just simply the best. I can honestly say that they are family. Each and everyone has gone way above to help my dad every single step of the way. A+ is not a good enough grade for me to give you.

I was a urology technician in the US Navy, and I consider Dr. Daniel Caruso an outstanding urologist who gives his patients the appropriate amount of time to resolve their urological issues.
