Although my Mom had been a patient for Dr. Maestas, why come the medical professionals don't check more for lung cancer. Because my Mom came down with stage 4 Lung cancer without any symptom. I just want to know why the medical or insurance doesn't allow at least twice a year for CT scan this way they can catch the cancer quicker or either a body scan. Shouldn't no family should have to keep going through the stage 4 cancer because of lack of testing. These test should be given twice a year and if the insurance doesn't want to pay I would be willing to pay my own. All I have bee hearing people are dying prematurely from stomach, colon, prostat5e, pancreatic, brain and lung cancers at a higher rate because not enough testing. Although my Mom went to her appt. every 3 months but this isn't enough to catch the cancer. Sadly I lost my Mom to these disease this year from lung cancer. Also, what is the protocol for our elderly when they are diagnose with cancer and the doctors does a… biospy which causes the individual to lose usage of their arm and hand. The medical professionals need to push more prevention instead of pushing drugs that has so many side effects.

Dr. Maestas has been my Primary Doctor for around 10 years. He is curtious, and is concerned about your health as you are. He listens to what you have to say about your own health and you work as partners to maintain great health.

Dr. Maestas has been my family Dr. for as long as I remember and every time I visit, I always , always have a very, very pleasant visit all of my diagnosis were very accurate. I remember I was in a lot of back pain Dr. Maestas took me in at the last minute and when he arrive in my examining room I was in so much pain I wasn't in the best of moods. But, Dr. Maestas was consistent in his care, being polite, concerned, courteous and professional. Also, not to mention the magnificent staff they are all ways very good to me as well. Kudos ! to Dr. Maestas. :)

I had been with the Doctor since I had been in US and I travel 30 miles just to make a appointment. I trust him and his judgement. Best Doc in STL.

Dr Maestas is very thorough in his time with me. He takes time to explain everything. His staff is always caring and helpful. I would highly recommend him.

I know that you may have to wait for the doctor but it is well worth it. He will take all the time you need when he gets to you. He has a kind bedside manner, knows his patients, is responsive and accurate. My entire family has been with this wonderful man. He literally saved my sisters life!! We all have been seeing him for over 20 years. Great doctor.

You have to wait for Dr. Maestas because he gives each patient individual care. He treated me as a person and partner in my own health, reviewing even the smallest of problems thoroughly. I give him my highest rating- just bring a book.
