Dr. Dario Michael Zagar, MD

This doctor does not practice medicine with a normal or kind heart, and seems to be narcissistic. He was the worst doctor I have ever been to - he was rude and EXTREMELY condescending. He made fun of me for not wanting to take medicine and for wanting to know what the root of the problem was. The doctor didn’t listen and didn’t solve anything. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Zagar to anyone.

I have seen many neurologists, and Dr. Zagar is by far the best and most qualified. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after a very thorough exam. He knows what he is doing and is VERY intelligent. Takes detailed notes, listens to everything you say as a patient. He truly cares about the patient and wants to help the patient feel better. Best in Fairfield County. Took awhile (about a month) for an appointment but that is because he is the best.

As a nurse I found in Dr Zagar a Dr. who weighed everything I had to say in evaluating my husbands condition. I mmedietely had complete trust in knowing he will find the correct dx for my husband . So professional and the visit was not rushed.I felt a load lifted off my shoulders in knowing that finally we found the right neurologist.Visit was yesterday.

Very nice, professional, and thorough

I am appalled at all the negative reviews. I have a very rare and complex case so I’ve been to many physicians near and far. So I know a good physician when I see one and Dr. Zagar is the nicest most attentive and thorough physician. Most neurologists are blunt but he is very nice. I cannot believe all the negative reviews. All of those people must be trying to think they are doctors. Unless they have a medical degree then don’t judge. And sure you think you can do better? Then go. And I can assure you there is no one better in the Fairfield county area than Dr. Zagar and even his colleagues. I really am in disbelief at all of these negative reviews. Dr. Zagar is a magnificent physician and if he ever moves out of CT, my family and I will have to move to the state he goes to.

Misdiagnosed our daughter would not recommend Dr. Zagar, I would recommend finding someone else.

I only have postive words for Dr. Zagar, finally after years of struggling with my health, through his diagnosis and treatment plan I have relief and balance back in my life.

There are concerns about Dr. Zagar. And while he undoubtedly has great competence, the overall attitude often comes across as being cold, and yes, arrogant. He does not always seem to listen, and too quickly debates what the patient wants to ask, or say.

My daughter saw Dr. Zagar in January, I called my insurance company and made a formal complain. He took my 14 year old daughter in a room with out my permission and spoke with her, I thought he was running tests on her come to find out he was questioning her without another adult in the room. He did not do any of the tests that her pediatrician asked for then he decided to call a friend of his that was a doctor to consult on other matters. Worst doctor ever, I will be calling the State Medical Board, he doesn't know how to do his job!

I had the unfortunate experience to see dario zagar for two different medical issues. He is cold and callous. He never looks at you when you are explaining your symptoms â?? He is too busy typing every letter that comes out of your mouth on his computer. But, he really doesnâ??t hear a word you say. The only thing zagar knows is to give you a neurological exam and if you can touch your nose and walk two steps forward, he dismisses your symptoms. The first visit he dismissed my symptoms and wrote two prescriptions, one for â??feel happyâ?? OTC pills and the other saying â??go have funâ??. On my second visit, I asked him about a specific test that only a neurologist can interpret. He was not happy about my knowledge about the test and medical facts that I presented, he again only performed his neurological exam, ignored me when I told him that I had pain, never examined the complaints I presented, and dismissed all my symptoms. Then zagar told me that I needed a psychiatrist. … No one deserves that kind of treatment. Rude and arrogant are an understatement.
