Dr. David Robert Gwynn, MD

Early in 2019 I decided to deal with the cataracts that have been negatively impacting my vision for the past two years. Being a former CEO, I naturally began an extensive diligence process that included looking at many on line reviews for various Ophthalmologists, as well as making multiple calls to their patients. What I learned about Dr. Gwynn from the patients I spoke to who had actually had him do their surgeries was extremely positive, but Dr. Gwynn's on line reviews were just slightly above average. I shared this information with him and just completed my second eye's surgery this week. What I can confirm is he is a seasoned and talented professional and his team is equally talented, and caring. My vision in my right eye, which was about 20/100 without glasses, is now 20/15, and my right eye is already 20/25 two days after surgery. I am totally ecstatic about the entire process and give Dr. Gwynn and his team my absolute highest recommendation. They are World Class!

I saw Dr. Gwynne for several years for medical eye checkups and had my eyeglass prescriptions done in his office. The last time I saw him, he said I needed cataract surgery in both eyes. I was immediately shunted to his assistant, who put permission papers down in front of me and told me that my co-pay for the lenses that the doctor recommended would be $9000. I left the office without signing. I subsequently requested my medical records from his office, and although I was promised they would be ready--twice--they were not available when I came to his office. I was told they were waiting for him to give his permission for their release. Two EXCELLENT ophthalmologists have seen me since then, and both said that although I have cataracts, they are far from "ripe." I am still on annual exam schedule and see fine with glasses, albeit a different prescription than the one I got from Gwynne's office. AVOID.

The nicest, kindest guy ever

Dr. Gwynn came up with the same diagnosis as my previous doctor did which was a really good test. He seemed caring and offered some great advice which was in line with the condition that I have. I would feel comfortable recommending him to my friends.
