Horrible experience. I think they use diluted fillers. Definitely overcharge, after they quote a price. Please go somewhere else

I saw Dr Hecker this afternoon. I found him to be a wonderful dermatologist. He listened and diagnosed my problem very quickly. I left feeling very confident that the medication he sold me would take care of my problem fairly rapidly. I recommend Dr Hecker very highly JR

They have strange policies. They want any balances the insurance company does not pay to be paid by you within 45 days and want your credit card upfront. I was a licensed insurance agent in FL and CA. The Provider (DOC) performs a procedure. They bill the insurance company. The Insurance Company (Carrier) has a rate they pay for a certain procedure but if there is a balance, as there often is, usually the Doc will write it off. Not this Doc. They want you to pay the difference and you will NEVER know what the agreed upon rate is (between the Doc and the Carrier), but you will get a bill from the Doc. You do not want to have to pay the difference. I tried explaining this to the staff but they really do not know - they just want a credit card upfront. I have found after all my surgeries that anyone that wants this payment info upfront, is usually worried about payment on the backend due to dissatisfied patients. Do no harm right! Watch out for this office. There are plenty of… dermatologist that will treat you without worrying about a bill. They will tell you they don't even know what the final bill will be except you will be on the hook for it. OUCH!!!

Called on Monday to receive more info about the prescribe medication. Had 2 diffent creams for hands and feet. However, instruction did not specify which was for hand or feet. Called AGAIN Wednesday and ask for further instructions. They took the message and said they will call back. Today is Friday and they still have not called back. I think a week is extremely poor support. I’m not sure if they know what they prescribe.

I went to Dr. David Hecker to have a very thin mole on the center of my forehead removed. He removed it so quickly, without even making the slightest effort to do a clean job and cut it at the surface so there's very little scar. I now have a hole right smack in the middle of my forehead, I've had bigger and thicker moles removed in the past with other doctor's, and they did a much better job where I not only didn't have a hole after, but hardly any scar. My parents have had doctors remove skin cancer moles that were thicker then this without a hole or scar. Mole removal is the ABC's of Dermatology. He's either incompetent, or just doesn't care, or both. I read one of his bad reviews, where a patient said she felt he treated her poorly because she had free insurance, I got the same impression. I don't believe that those 5 star reviews are real. I would definitely not recommend him.
