Dr. Thut is not only a brilliant surgeon, he is also kind. I am thrilled with my knee replacement.

Really bizarre individual. Sends me an email on Wednesday am saying that he wants to speak on Thursday afternoon and if we can’t connect, talk to his nurse to set up a time. Replied that is fine to talk after 4 PM. He reads the email at 12:45. Does not reply. Called his office in the afternoon and and put on hold for 17 minutes before I hang up. Still no reply from him as to what time he wants to talk. Called the office the next morning to find out what time and speak to the nurse about the sequence of events, which is what he requested… No response. Finally, he calls at 3 PM on Thursday and says he will no longer speak or be our doctor because I yelled at his staff, which is absolutely patently untrue. When I spoke to his office, I just explained the sequence of events with him sending an email, not responding, and then calling the office twice more still without any response from him. He said he was too busy to respond. He never reviewed the tape of the phone calls. Very strange man.… Beware. Not to mention that I have an email saying that he was very confused about the MRI and did not know what to do. Went to another ortho doc who immediately figured out from the MRI exactly what was going on and put us on a treatment plan that makes sense. Beware. He’s not as good as he looks on paper. PS, I am a doctor.

Great Doctor - My right knee thinks he is the best!

After breaking my shoulder last year, I was sent to Seacoast Orthopedics by the urgent care facility that is located in the same building. Dr. Thut was working in the Lee office that day, so that is who I saw. I continued with him for that injury and then requested him this year when I managed to break by other shoulder. I have received excellent skilled care for both injuries with my concerns listened to and questions answered. Very professional office staff as well. I highly recommend the Lee office as I find it less crowded and there seems to be much less of a wait.
