Dr. David Ying-Chie Liao, DO

I went to see the orthopedic doctor, Dr. Liao. The experience was one of the worst I have ever had in a doctor's office. First of all they did not set up the appointment for my two issues, they only documented one and then we're very happy to tell me that they can set up another appointment for the other one, which of course would cost me more money. Then they asked me to fill out paperwork, and when I brought it to them they shredded it and said they had a new system and I had to redo it all over digitally. I understood this and that would've been fine except the new system did not allow me to put to put more than one issue and then I had no evidence that I had requested to have two joints looked at. I guess it's my job to ask them for a certified letter stating that they listened to me and knew what my appointment was for. I had to ask off work early and then I sat there a long time when I really didn't need to be there. I am a teacher and this took time away from my students. At… this point I still thought I was being seen for both my issues. After sitting a long time, some office person comes back and says, "What are you here for?" and when I tell her she says that that is not what the paperwork says and she could just schedule another appointment. Then after the doctor finally does come see me, he over manipulates my knee starting more pain than I have had in a long time. I already knew I had a miniscus tear, but I believe he could have made it worse. I tried to convince myself he knew what he was doing. Then today I get notes on my appointment and he had stuff on there that we had not even discussed. I sent a message to their office and they asked me to send them a copy because their new system might not be working right. The whole office is not working right and I hope that any person looking for an orthopedic doctor looks elsewhere and spares himself this experience. I am out $190 and certainly will not go to this office again, My only hope is that the $190 I wasted can help others to choose a better doctors office. I had tried to go to Hunt even though I had heard bad things. I have tried to spend my money locally, but this is the third bad doctor I've had affiliated with Hunt Regional . The office staff was very kind in telling me that there was nothing they could do and that I had no proof I had scheduled the appointment for two joints. I spent an hour on the phone hearing apologies, but there was nothing they could do to make it right. And then they had the audacity to ask me if I can send a copy of the office notes that were incorrect so I could help them do better in the future. I got off work, I did paperwork that they shredded and no longer needed, I received inaccurate notes and they didn't seem to have a problem with it but would be very happy to charge me another $190 if I would come back in. Not in this lifetime. I highly suggest you go somewhere else. Consumers/patients deserve better with what we pay for medical costs. They don't have to answer to anyone.

I was warned by neighbor not to use Dr Liao. He botched their surgery and they had to go to a different doctor to get it fixed. I ignore the advice and went to see Dr. Liao. I was going to have a knee replacement using the robotic arm. I had to cancel 2 surgery apps because of the incompetence the front desk. They gave out the wrong phone number for my contact information that led to one of the cancellations. The final cancellation was within a week I had to do an MRI before the surgery. They mailed me info a week before the surgery after the MRI and in the envelope it stated that I needed a dental clearance. I called and asked if I really needed clearance, they said yes. I didn't have time to make a dental app before the surgery to get a dental clearance. Now they are are charging me because I cancelled the surgery and it was their fault. Bottom line Dr Liao and his office is very unprofessional. If you want an incompetent doctor with an incompetent front office this is your guy.

I have been a patient of Dr Liao for over 10 yrs. He has replaced both knees, one shoulder, one thumb joint and keeps check on my hips bursitis and tendinitis . He has been accurate with all my care. I saw him this week for the arthritis in my hand. I highly recommend him for orthopedic problems.

I've been seeing a chiropractor for years with no relief finally went to see an orthopedic surgeon at the recommendation of my family doctor. He referred me to Dr Liao. This is the first time in over three years that I have no shoulder pain and can sleep at night. I did have to wait over a week to get in to see him and did have to wait a bit at my appointment but he was worth the wait. Dr Liao was thorough and friendly but most of all he actually helped me!

Unnecessary drug test cost $1700 before he will see you

We saw Dr. Liao for my daughters broken wrist. He was great with her, gentle and eased her fears. I wound not hesitate to recommend him!

Dr. Liao has preformed f different surgery's. I had knee surgery and a thumb replacement. Both went very well and I am going to have a knee replacement next. He has the best bedside manner I have in many years
