Dr. Deborah Bowers, MD

If you ever come across this doctor I hope she don't tell you the same rhung she did to me I went in for some sporting at 38 weeks pregnant and lower back pain when she came in too the room all she asked was how much I weight and what was my height she said to me that that was the couse of my pain being over weight and being short this lady is not a professional at her job when I told her if I could get a note for work that day she said no that was not happing she told me I should get one from my doctor his lady is so rude how can u tell a pregnant lady he paint is for being overweight and say also if becuse if the baby weight your carrying. I haven't had any back pain during my whole pregnancy until that one day .this happens in winchester medical center in the maternity floor

ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND BAISED!!!!! Don’t know where she got her degree ,dont know why anyone hires her ,and I especially don’t know how she still has a job. She is extremely racist and biased, and HORRIBLE at her job. Her employees have to apologize for her behavior and comments and even work ethic!! She CUT my nieces EAR while delivery her which shouldn’t not have happened at all even my sisters obgyn said it should not have happened and even nurses made it obviously she messed up. And get this she failed to document how she cut the baby’s ear in the report as well. Clearly she knew she was wrong. Iv spoken with enough doctors about her to know they all agree she is unfit and unprofessional and extremely biased and racist at her job. She even treats her nurses bad. She should really consider retiring, definitely looks the part. If I could rate in negatives I would!! PLEASE DONT RISK UR BABIES BY GOING TO THIS WOMEN!!!

Dr. Bowers exhibited a very flip attitude towards me after I was referred to her for weight management. She repeatedly told me that she would not help me and that I looked perfectly normal. She did not take the time to learn anything about my history. She was rude and unprofessional and I do not recommend her.

She is awful. Very rude and engages in medical gaslighting. She had absolutely no correct information on endometriosis, telling me the only cure is the depo shot and that it does not cause that much pain like “many young people say.” Her demeanor is very rude and I did not feel safe with her. I strongly advise against seeing her

Horrible woman! deals with patients in a racist manner, and should not be called a doctor... Don't go there!

Dr Bowers has been my doctor for a while. She is a great diagnostician, prompt, direct and solution oriented. I love her!

Dr Bowers went out of her way to provide our family with the delivery experience we wanted. We couldn't be happier

I am a patient of the Loudoun Community Midwives (LCM) and recently had my second child. I had a c-section with my first child and was struggling with the decision to try for a VBAC or schedule a repeat c-section with this one. I met with another OBGYN before meeting Dr. Bowers and her approach to c-sections didn't align with what I hoped for in a c-section experience - especially a planned one! The midwives recommended I speak with Dr. Bowers. She is so warm and friendly and took the time to help talk through my fears of a c-section. In addition, she was willing to perform a c-section that included the things I wanted: a delivery closer to 40 weeks, delayed cord clamping, a clear drape so I could watch my son being born, a relaxed atmosphere, immediate skin to skin (APGAR's were performed while my son was with me), my husband even got to cut the cord! One of the midwives was also with me in the delivery room which was great since I had been meeting with them throughout my… entire pregnancy. My recovery has been excellent, my incision is healing nicely, and my c-section was done in a way that I was starting to think wasn't possible. I'm so thankful for Dr. Bowers and her willingness to take a family friendly approach to c-sections!

RUDEST DOCTOR EVER! SHE IS HEARTLESS AND NEEDS TO GO WORK AT A MORGUE! PREGNANT WOMEN ARE EMOTIONAL, HOWEVER SHE DOESNT SEEM TO KNOW THIS BY BEING A bXXX TO THEM! WOULDNT RECOMMEND MY WORST ENEMY TO THIS WITCH! RUN! SHE'S HORRIBLE AND HAS HORRIBLE REVEIWS!!! I HAD NO CHICE BUT TO GO TOP HER BECAUSE MY DOCTOR WAS OUT OF TOWN AND THIS WITCH WAS BACKING HER UP. EWWWWW!

Horrible woman. I was admitted with extreme pain caused by the torsion of my left ovary which had a cyst 11×4×8cm large. I was in excruciating pain and she sent me home. My mother and I were asking to admit me for pain management or to do any kind of corrective procedure and Dr. Bowers refused, saying that young people exaggerate pain and that I would be fine. We had to fight to get a perscription for painkillers for after ahe sent me home. On the discharge sheet they have a list of symptoms that if you experience you should return to the hospital - I was experiencing about half of that list when she told me to go home. My pain was so bad that I couldnt even walk to the car to or from being admitted to the ER. Luckily I had a surgery about 3 weeks later at a different hospital to remove the cyst and they found that my ovary had died inside of me. The torsion cut off blood flow and since it was not corrected it continued to cut off blood and it died, bleeding into my cyst and making it… bigger. I was lucky that the cyst didn't rupture becaue the nerves died and I wouldnt have felt it if the necrotic tissue and blood burst out and flooded my system. Had she taken me and my pain seriously or listened to us and DONE something, I would still have two ovaries. Avoid this doctor at all costs, she might cause you to loose something you can never get back.
