Dr. Diana Decotis-Smith

Cm I absolutely love this lady she was an awesome obgyn I had no issues and everything went smoothly I am so blessed that I had her and my team wen I was pregnant with my twins thank you ????

2 minutes ago Dr. Decotis-Smith was/is my OB for my pregnancy with my son who was delivered about a week ago. It was a high risk, complicated pregnancy that required a C-section delivery. She took wonderful care of me through my pregnancy and delivery. So many things could have turned out differently and we were so lucky she was our doctor. Also her surgical skills are awesome and my incision looks great!

First of all, I am a older women, who is no longer having babies. My original doctor had retired, so I was on the lookout for a new gynecologist. This is not an easy process. I had received in the mail and advertising card for Dr. Decotis and Dr. Caywood, so I filed it for the future when I would be in need of Dr. When I called to get an appt. I was told it would be approx a month before I could get in to see either Dr. This was not the best situation for me, I needed an emergency appt. immediately. The 1st receptionist I talked to, said that was the best she could do for me, but I could call every day to see if there were any cancellations and be put on hold for 5-10 min to speak to someone. I was in dire need to see a Dr. now, so I called my primary Dr. and was able to see his PA immediately. She in return after examining me called their office and was able to get me an appt. in a week. When I did get to see Dr. Decotas-Smith, she was wonderful. to speed up my process… for my emergency. Dr. Decotas has a wonderful bed side manner and was not in a rush to get me in and out of her office. She had her nurse call and check up on me to see if I was doing well. I would highly recommend Dr. Decotis-Smith to any one who is looking for a gynecologist, she is very helpful and knowledgeable and speaks to you in user friendly language so you will understand your health. She gets a thumbs up with me. My only negative was the receptionist when I was trying to get an appt. She was not sympathetic.

Let me put this as simply as I can. For a doctor who is going to be so inmate with my body and for someone who I can trust. Her office staff is some of the rudest people I have ever met. Let alone the fact that after I was having internal bleeding after a car accident that the staff wasn't in any rush to have it checked and examined so they made me wait 2 months for an appointment and still wouldn't let me meet my actual doctor! I saw nurses. I am absolutely outraged with this office so I decided that I would keep my appointment for my annual because maybe she was just busy. Well come to find out again I will not be seen by her but by an assistant to the other doctor in this office. I have never felt more like an outcast in an office or like I was this much of a leper. The office staff seems to be full of girls right out of high school who have no real care for their jobs or their patients. I will not be coming back to this office again. I would rather drive three hours to a… gynecologist who cares than ever deal with this office again.
