Dr. Edward Joseph Ramirez, MD

I want to highly recommend Dr Ramirez and Monterey Bay IVF to anyone considering fertility treatment. I completed several rounds of IVF at a clinic back east (with a successful outcome), but when we moved to Monterey and were ready for our second child, we found MBIVF and couldn't be happier. We were almost going to use a facility in the Bay Area due to a recommendation from a friend, but after thinking about having to commute, we decided to check out MBIVF. From our first appointment we were exceedingly impressed. The office is comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff are above and beyond helpful, friendly, courteous, generous with their time and attention and all around great! They always made me feel comfortable and I almost never had to wait to be seen. Dr. Ramirez is so knowledgeable and he explained all the options, information and answered all my questions with patience and grace. For such a complicated process, it felt easy and smooth. Dr. Ramirez offered IUI but… we wanted to skip right to IVF. Again, the whole office made the experience as smooth and efficient as possible while still remaining warm, compassionate and caring. So far so good as we are pregnant on the first try. I will continue to work with Dr. Ramirez and all his staff if our fertility treatment must continue.

He caused my wife and I a great deal of unnecessary pain. I am a medical professional and should have known better than to chose dr. Ramirez. He did not complete a full fertility fellowship and he practices solo. The nature of Ivf makes it very difficult to do it well and be a sole practitioner. He cost us a lot of time and money.

Not a caring doctor, does not communicate much or well with patients!! Do not ask questions during an office visit. Otherwise, he will charge you more money-and lots of it!! His personality is dry and stoical. He does not offer up any information or empathy. He does not care if you get pregnant or not. He's more of a business man than a caring doctor.

Doctor Ramirez & Staff are very caring individuals. They make you feel at home. Doctor Ramirez works close with patients to help get best outcome. IVF cycles are very difficult to go through. He explains and walks the patient through the whole process. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs the IVF treatment.

My husband and I were thoroughly pleased with Dr. Ramirez's services and his staff. Because we were only in Monterey for a limited time due to my husband being stationed at DLI, we had a short time to undergo infertility treatments. Dr. Ramirez took this into consideration and worked with our schedule... within 3 mos time, we were pregnant! This was our first time doing any type of infertility treatments, but had been considering it for many years and know that God truly worked through Dr. Ramirez and his staff to bless us with our (pending!) children. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and a former military veteran himself. His office staff is friendly and willing to answer any and all questions, from scheduling, insurance, medications, and of course, reassurance throughout the entire process. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Ramirez and are pleased to be expecting triplets this fall!

I was very lucky to find this doctor on the internet and to find out he was close to where we live in Hollister, CA. I have endometriosis and the doctor was really, really good at getting rid of the scar tissue. After the surgery, which was laparoscopic and not as big a deal as I thought it would be, we waited a few months and then did IVF. We are now expecting our first child, after so many years of pain and trying! It is so important for women to realize that their infertility might be cured and this doc is one of the best in our book.

We are very pleased with Dr. Ramirez and his staff at this clinic. We tried one other clinic in Sacramento and were unsuccessful there. Because my husband is in the military, we were moved to NPS for three years and decided to try this IVF clinic. It's hard to go through in vitro after failing once, but the doctor gave us a lot of different advice from the first place we went to. I went through a different kind of preparation for the cycle also after the transfer. We are so happy now because we have not one, not two but three babies on the way! Yes, it's crazy, but we are happy with this and we know it was our choice to put back three embryos. Now, I just have to make it through the next six months and we will have 3 wonderful babies! I trust this doctor and recommend him to anyone who is TTC and not sure whether to go on or not.

I want to complement Dr. Ramirez for helping us have our baby. After a lot of heart ache (two m/c, failed IUI)we went ahead and did in vitro. It was really hard to go ahead and do it but we are so glad that we did. The drugs that Dr. Ramirez had me use after my BFP were what did the trick and kept me from miscarring again. I am so glad I saw his blog on the internet. I got a good feeling from his positive attitude. He doesn't just treat the disease he treats you the patient.

We were not very successful at having a baby and tried a couple of different ob/gyns for opinions. One doctor told us we should go see a specialist for infertility so we were referred to Dr. Ramirez about a year ago. He is very easy to talk to and very easy to understand. He and his wife had infertility problems too so we really thought he understood what we were going through. Another plus is that he can do everything from laparoscopy to in vitro right here in Monterey. His clinic is very professional too. We are still trying to get pregnant as we speack and I hope that we can succeed. We are going to try our first IVF cycle next week and I am so nervous. The meds were not much fun but Karen Warfield the IVF coordinator helped me through alot of rough spots. I definitely feel comfortable here and I know that it's worth it to try instead of to wait until its too late. There is a good finance plan here too that really helped us out. Well, that's it for now, I hope I can come back and… give another review after we have BABY SUCCESS!!!

We went to Doctor Ramirez with our problems. We couldn't find a doctor who would really spend the time to find out why we couldn't have a baby after three years of trying. Another plus was that Dr. Ramirez speaks Japanese. He was great and was able to help my wife, who is Japanese. We now have a beautiful baby girl...aka-chan!
