Dr. Elizabeth Gaffney Riccardi, MD

Dr. Riccardi should not be allowed to practice very unfortunate.

I went to her bc my doctor of 20+ years retired. She is condescending and judgemental and I left my appointment with her feeling shell-shocked. Thankfully the office allowed me to transfer my care to another physician.

I always wanted in a physician that my wishes and rights as a patient be respected. It's the obligation of a physician to educate and inform you of all available treatments and protocols available to manage your health care. It's not the function of a doctor to impose or deny services to a patient if this patient doesn't agree with her protocol or decides to follow an alternate treatment. As a cancer patient (and any other kind of patient), I have the right to decide what kind of treatment suits me to get me better. I do not believe chemotherapy/radiotherapy is the right protocol to eradicate cancer. I believe in natural and holistic treatments. I am doing great and still this doctor is pushing me to do chemo, she never mentioned to me how to eat right and exercise to improve my immune system, this way my body would be stronger to fight, not only cancer, but any kind of diseases. Doctors like this one are a shame to the medical profession, specially when she denied me blood work just… to see how I was doing with my tumor markers. As a doctor, you work for me and even if you disagree with my decisions you are not supposed to judge me, nevertheless deny me services. Dr. Riccardi you are fired!
