Dr. Ellen Rachel Goldmark, MD

Worst dr. I have ever been to. Arrogant, obnoxious, not interested in YOU, only what procedure she can do to bill. Not interested in history, or past scans. Will not discuss anything with you. New patient visit lasted, literally, no exaggeration, less than 5 minutes. DO NOT see this dr.

Dr. Goldmark provided one of the best medical visits of my life. She was warm and caring and she put me totally at ease. Dr. Goldmark explained everything as the exam was proceeding and I felt that she truly cared. Wonderful doctor!

She takes very little time to meet with patients. I came to her with a problem that she basically refused to treat. She didn't run any tests and just told me to take ibuprofen. The illness has since escalated into the chronic form. It takes months to get an appointment with her and she sees you for just a few minutes and will literally say "good luck. hopefully it gets better on its own." I ended up going to another Urologist at Hopkins who couldn't believe her diagnosis and approach. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this doctor.

I had a negative experience with Dr. Goldmark and would not recommend her. After waiting 30 days just to see her, I waited an hour for my appointment and she only saw me for 10 minutes! She did not assess me or my lifestyle and made no effort diagnosing my issue. She quickly referred me to someone else, prescribed me a $300 medication I know nothing about, and told me to come back in three months although I told her that I’ve been experiencing these issues for 7 years and have seen multiple doctors. She was arrogant, rude, and not helpful in anyway. I wasted my time, money, and efforts going to see her and now I have to make an appointment with another doctor.

First I wait over an hour for her and she literally spent 5 minutes with my appointment; second she told me that it was me making myself sick; three I told her I had been dealing with this for over 4 years and told her what a former urologist in College diagnosed me with, she laughed; four told me to try PT and if not better come back in 90 days. HELLO didn't you just hear me that I've been dealing with this for 4 years and nothing is better? Her advice, "stop eating everything with preservatives, oranges and juice and stop drinking coffee" Exhausted after telling her I do not eat any oranges or drink juice and only 1 cup of coffee a day. I've done my own homework since dealing with this since the age of 21. Thanks for nothing and a large bill!! Now to actually find a Urologist that knows and cares.

I saw this doctor and she blamed all my ills on coffee consumption. Subsequently, I had a bad reaction to a medication she prescribed. I called and spoke to the doctor on call in her practice. He said the medication could not cause my symptoms. However, he said he would convey my message to Dr. Goldmark and to discontinue the medication. I never heard from Dr. Goldmark. The next time I saw her she asked how I was doing on the medication. I told her that I had called weeks earlier and discontinued it at the direction of her associate. She said she never got the message from the doctor on call and, moreover, that that medication could not have made me ill. And, once again, she went on her diatribe about how coffee was the culprit. Never mind the pelvic surgeries, the scar tissue impacting my bladder, and the nerves I had had severed in the pelvis for chronic pain. I am an educated professional with advance degrees. She spoke to me like a wayward child. I would not recommend this… physician to anyone. She is one of those people ill-suited to the practice of medicine.

I cant say enough about Dr. Goldmark she is amazing

horrible experience with staff and DR from scheduling to waiting time and diagnosis. There is other urologists with better specialties elsewhere. My issue was not resolved with 2 different DR at Urological Consultants...lost of time. They refused to do what my OB requested to check! i already under the care of another pro with gynecology specialty as well!

I've only seen her once, but I have been very impressed with her knowledge, compassion and amount of time she took to help me. I have been to so many doctors and generally have low expectations. She actually surprised me with her curiosity to find the right diagnosis.

Dr Goldmark treated me at Shady Grove Adventist hospital and I am very grateful for this as she transformed a potentially serious situation into one made manageable through her knowledge and expertise.
