She really is not a caring person. Not focused on patient care or patient concerns. Didn’t want to listen to my concerns or answer my questions. If I could rate less than a 1 star, I would. I recommend Dr. Gerardi, another physician in the practice although he doesn’t deliver any longer, so if you need someone he’s top notch.

I have gone to Fe for over 35 years and she is an excellent doctor and a compassionate human being. Can't say enough good things about her.

A few years ago during a colposcopy in the Clifton Park office somehow the Speculum got locked inside me. My husband was a witness to this horrific event. I screamed and they ultimately had too rip it out. I tried to give them numerous chances in the past few weeks I have had severe bleeding. I went in for another procedure, I took my husband in with me as i was nervous from what took place before. Dr. Mondragon was selected to perform the procedure due to the prior event. I heard the office staff discussing this in front of all the patients in the room while scheduling this procedure. So we go in and the nurse did not have anything ready . Dr. Mondragon started fussing at her right in front off us. She was shoving the speculum in not very nicely, pinching me. She rudely gave up and said she will Need to go to OR. get dressed and come in my office, sent me to get blood work to test for cancer. Put me on Aygestin to stop bleeding and said they would schedule an ultrasound in 6 weeks.… At this point I was crying. My husband was astonished. He just kept begging me to change offices. The Aygestin was not working I was still bleeding heavy. I called the office they wanted me to come back in but gave me one timeframe that conflicted with something with my son. The nurse actually told me I would need to decide what was more important. At this point after talking to many people I lost it. I left the office. I am on a list to get in with an amazing gynocolgist. I will wait. I am not sure if the issue a few years back caused scar tissue and issues that could of caused what I have going on now. If it is I will take legal action ehich I told them and of course they aren’t happy. My frustration mostly with this office is quite simple it’s called care and concern. Our lives are important I don’t want to be a number. As a woman dealing with difficult issues do you want care and concern, I know I do. I started also reading other reviews and was so scared after reading Dr. Mondragon could not remember whether she took a 1/2 of an ovary or the whole one. Take care of yourself ladies and find someone you can trust!

The office staff in Clifton Park is okay but the staff in Schenectady is rude and very unprofessional. They forgot about me for 30 minutes with a full bladder waiting for an ultrasound and then acted disgusted with me when I had to empty. There is absolutely no personal care for your wellbeing at all. It was recommended that I have surgery to remove one of my ovaries due to a cyst and scar tissue but then it was casually stated that I might as well have both taken out while she is in there! I researched the pros and cons and learned to hang on to one or both ovaries as long as possible. I opted to keep the good one and had the surgery. After the surgery I was told twice and my husband once that she had only taken PART of the ovary when removing the cyst. After the surgury I am still experiencing pain and learned via ultrasound that she did take the whole ovary out!! Really?? It is extremely alarming to trust someone to cut into you and they cannot even remember what they did!! … I would never recommend this woman to do anything on anyone from taking a temperature or God forbid the use of a scalpel! As another review had mentioned, don't trust the cute little giggle act because she really doesn't care.

I too was a patient of Dr. Burstyn's, albeit briefly, prior to being recommended to Dr. Mondragon's office. My experience as a first time mother has improved 100% as result of the care that I've been given at this practice!! The previous doctor missed my placenta previa and told me that I had a GI virus, her office staff was atrocious, and her bedside manner and professionalism were among the worst I've ever experienced (says a lot coming from someone who works in an OR with surgeons). I will admit to feeling rushed only one time, when I went back for test results and everything was fine - I wanted to treat it like a regular office visit when in fact it was just a test result follow-up appointment. From a health care worker, this practice gets an A in my book!!

overall experience was terrible. She did not listen to me at all. I was suffering and she wasn't listening to me. She comes across like she is always right and has her own opinions that matter more then your own.She suggested I get a total hysterectomy and I should have never listened to her. I dont even see her now and it was only a year ago. I would NOT reccomend her to anyone.
