Dr. Francis Xavier Camillo, MD

I was referred by my Ortho. Dr. for low back pain,leg, and thigh pain ( siatica) this Dr. Was no nonsense and very direct, which suited my personality! He let me ramble on ( without interrupting) then answered my questions and concerns( believe me I had a few) I would return if Necessary and would recommend him highly! Thank you Dr.C

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Camillo. He took the time to fully explain what needed to be done. I had the surgery needed and am doing very well.

Walked away from apt, frustrated and determined never to return. Dr Camillo did not listen/hear/comprehend my answers to his questions. Talked alot about himself. Bad mouthed my surgeon while saying he wasnt. Camillo said he could do the surgery I needed, would make a lot of money, and "it is fun". But said i didnt need surgery, just needed an arthritis test and a blood flow test and an arthritis dr. I The he actually said, if test came back negative, well then i would need to go see my surgeon. which means he may be wrong about diagnosis and actually cant do a multilevel fusion. 3 back surgeries, one neck fusion, one surgeon in 11 yrs. Each surgery by my surgeon fixed me up, good to go for a couple years. But he moved out of state. It will be difficult but I'd rather drive there than put up with Camillos pompous goings ons. I deff would never consider making him my surgeon.

He is one of the few doctors who actually went out of his way to explain and treated me with much respect I will be grateful for him forever !!!

Dr. Camillo is a rarity in today's medical world of cramming as many patients, in as short a time, as possible. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He doesn't sugar coat or play games (except rugby). I went to several of his colleagues for over a year and only ended up with a bunch of bogus testing done and pointless P.T. and injections. After my first visit with Dr. Camillo - I knew more in that 30 mins than I'd learned in all visits with the others. Sure - For those who need their hand held, back rubbed & baby talk to go along with their medicine and rehab - perhaps he isn't the doc for them. For those who want an exceptionally caring, outstanding physician and surgeon, as well as a straight shooter without the fluff...there's nobody better!
