I had epilepsy for about 25 years. I had surgery from Dr Boop in 1991 and have not had any problems since. He removed a portion from my left temporal lobe. Also got to quit taking all meds . I highly recommend him.

When I was a patient of Dr. Rick Boop at Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH), he was not very thorough in his overall treatment. At one point, he mentioned how I was gaining weight and shouldn't be eating so much. What he failed to realize was my body quit producing multiple hormones due to the Traumatic Brain Injury I sustained on the operating table at Arkansas Children's Hospital when Dr. Charles Teo attempted to remove the cyst in my optic nerve. At least Dr, Teo had enough sense to suggest that maybe I had issues with a non-functioning Pituitary gland or hypothalamus gland, however, Dr. Boop ignored this at the time. That was approximately in 1996. It wasn't until 1998 and much insistence from my parents, that Dr. Boop finally ordered blood work, which showed a low testosterone level and got me a referral to Pediatric Endocrinology Department at ACH. Stay away from Dr. Boop as he doesn't listen to his colleagues (like Dr. Teo) and instead likes to blame the patient's eating habits.… You would think Dr. Boop would know the brain's role in controlling hormones and metabolism, especially when the patient suffers a traumatic brain injury on the operating table.

Very child like not very professional wait time is rediculous, he don't listen to your concern very well. Spends very little time with patien i was hospitalized a year ago with shunt problems and he has yet to decide rather or not do surgery #not very happy

i am an adult female with lipomyelomeningeocele.. born in 1958 when nothing could or would be done to help me.. at the age of 52 i met Dr. Boop and he removed the lipoma, untethered my spinal cord, and gave me a God given miracle... FINALLY i got the care i needed for so long.. Dr.Boop is a highly experienced neurologist.. i think the world of him!

Dr. Boop is a GOD send to us. Our daughter had 5 other sugeries before we went to see Dr. Boop and were told her brain tumor was removed. Unfortunately it had not been. Dr Boop was very kind and took very good care of our daughter. He was a great doctor and we would not use anyone else.

After waiting for almost 3 hours to see him, he spent all of 5 minutes with us. He didn't listen to my concerns very well and he certainly didn't spend much time looking at my son's problem.
