Dr. Gary Scott Friedlander, MD

Dr. Gary Friedlander identified a problem with my prostate. But he did not want to perform the necessary surgery but told me to undergo several additional tests not related to my prostate. When I explained to him that these difficult tests would make my situation worse, he ignored me and told me to make a general appointment in six months.

I had kidney cancer in 2010. I wasn’t aware of it. He was able to remove my kidney with only a few incisions. No treatments thereafter. I see him annually now. He recently discovered another mass in another area from my CT scan so he really looks out for his patient. Great bedside manner too.

I have been seeing Dr Friedlander for over 10 years. I trust him

The Physician prescribed an expensive experimental drug that worsened the problem instead of the generic drug, which actually worked, that I had asked for months earlier. Over the course of several years, the physician made me endure several unnecessary appointments and procedures when the actual problem was fairly simple and could have been solved with the prescription of the generic drug. I complained to the Maryland Board of Physicians and they issued him an advisory letter.

I spent 10 years in the medical field earlier in my career, including 5 years in surgical practice. Dr. Friedlander knows what he's doing, has an excellent support staff from the front desk, to the lab, and the ultrasound technician.

Doctor insisted on proscribing expensive untested prescription drug that failed to correct condition and actually made it worse. Only after over a year of pushing the experimental drug, numerous office visits and an unnecessary procedure did the physician proscribe the tested, established brand medication that actually worked and that I had originally asked for. months earlier.

He makes talking about an embarrassing situation comfortable. Very nice doctor.

Easy to communicate with dr and he listens to the problems. He is friendly.

If I could have Dr Friedlander as my general doctor I'd be in heaven. I see from the other reviews you either love him or hate him. When he entered the room I felt he addressed ALL my issues, explained everything so I could understand without using "big" words. He loves what he does and his personality is fantastic. I would highly recommend him!!!! His staff however, not so good and if you don't get an appt. by 9:00 you may wait a long long time. I walked out after waiting an hour when my appt was at 9:00. They gave no apology or explanation.

Do not waste your time with this uncaring Dr. He kept me waiting 40 min. Didn't even let me ask questions. Rolled his eyes at me and insulted me. Spent 5 min with me. Total waste of money and time. Worst dr. I have ever seen
