Dr. Vargas and his entire team have been a god-send to my mom before, during, and after her mastectomy. The in-office visits we had with Dr. Vargas were the most helpful and comprehensive that we've received from any of the oncologists we consulted. Dr. Vargas is empathetic and has tremendous patience in answering our questions. You can tell he loves what he does and cares about his patients. He’s also supported by an amazing team who make my mom feel supported throughout the process. It's a blessing to have worked with Dr. Vargas and his staff during this special period in my mom's life.

He gave clear information about the clinical testing and treatment options, and he wrote it down for us to keep. He answered all of our questions leading up to and after my surgery. We were never made to feel… rushed. Dr. Vargas and his outstanding staff (Mary Z, Miranda, Theresa, Becky, …) have been extremely responsive to my emailed and telephoned questions whenever I contact his office. Overall, we think Dr. Vargas and his team may simply be the best in this field.

Dr. Hernan Vargas treated me recently for stage 1 breast cancer. After surgery I was eligible for brachytherapy and radiation. From the initial consultation to the insertion of the Savi device, Dr. Vargas was extremely compassionate, thorough in all his explanations of what i would expect, answered all my questions, and made me feel at ease during all my visits and procedures. His surgical skills are top notch and I have healed beautifully. Dr. Vargas is truly one-of-a-kind.

It has been several years since I had Dr. Vargas perform a lumpectomy for stage 1 breast cancer, and I have to say he is one of the best doctors I have ever met. I was struggling with indecision on who to use because of my extreme anxiety from the diagnosis. After interviewing two other surgeons but not being 100% sure, I met Dr. Vargas and I knew he was the one. Not only is his bedside manner extremely reassuring and caring, but his skill as a surgeon is amazing. The scar is almost invisible and he did some surgical technique with the tissue underneath so that there’s not a divot and it all blends in nicely. His whole office staff is amazing, especially his P.A. Mary. They look at your treatment in a holistic manner and it has improved my quality of life substantially. Dr. Hernan Vargas is a highly skilled surgeon, a gifted communicator and a compassionate advisor. Not only is he top-notch, but his entire surgical team and office staff are outstanding.
