I Call Her, Instant Comfort I walked nervously in her office and within minutes, if not seconds, Dr. Chang knocked, opened the door quietly , spoke politely and set firmly down with a smile that could brighten up a thousand rooms!  She immediately pulled my chair close to her, laid out my preliminary tests and began giving her pre-evaluation of what in her professional opinion “could be” happening with me!  Oh, I don’t have to wait two days, lingering in tremendous agony until someone calls from her office with no real information and for me to come in for further testing!  Now this is…Instant Comfort! She was on it, keeping me posted on all necessary testing to either confirm or deny her initial pre-prognosis.  She left no place for me to create my own stories of what might be(s).  I knew I was in the right place; while testing in another department one of her colleagues said to me quite assuredly, “Oh Dr. Chang is your doctor, you are in good hands!” She compassionately and… courageously walked me through every step of this tedious journey!  The quickness of her response to my desperate needs, displayed the joy, concern and love for her patients.  The commitment in her voice constantly reminded me that this sincerely is… Instant Comfort! So yesterday I was pleased to hear her tell me all systems are working as required! A nightmare in my life turned out to be a new beginning of renewed strength, peace and love! I am a man 52years old who fells and runs as a 25 year old. As an electrical contractor for 25 years i always be lived in being active as a father/spouse and a professional motorcyclist, surfer, cheating death on a weekly basses was nothing, until being struck down with the diagnosis of cancer. Only scared two times in my life time all in 7 days one massive blood clot a (saddel pe) and confirmation of this cancer. There is no thanks grand enough for Ms. I Wen Chang, MD for pulling me back from my sure path to death. As I recover now for the last 6-7 months i can only wait for the opportunity to repay her and her staff ( desiree, sue,) and all the others as well for the excellent care and the second chance to ride life again. A humbling experience.

My mom had stage IV lung cancer.. Dr Chang was so confident that there was no hope, that she had little concern, she bluntly told me that she was going to die, like my mom was some animal who’s life held no value to me. My mom died in a short time, but I can’t say that Dr Chang made the journey pleasant. It was the exact opposite. The worst experience of my life. Did doctor Chang even try?

My mother and I really do love Dr. Chang, she has a kind heart and really listens to the patient. She gave my mother her diagnosis and 5 years later, my mother is still here with us all. There has been issues along the way, but Dr. Chang was patient and really looked at whatever concerns we had. She even gave me updates to help with my mother. I would recommend her to anyone. Ihave seen Dr. Chang three times and there will be more. I have been very pleased with every thing about her. Her coutesy,bedside manner, spending time with us.
