Dr. Ibrahim Carvan, MD

I am the father of an 11 year old boy. When we were at the hospital awaiting our son's arrival, my wife's OB/GYN asked us who our pediatrician was. We just stared at her blankly. For all the obsessive preparation we did - Organic crib mattress? - it just never occurred to us that we needed to select a pediatrician before he arrived. The pediatrician who was on duty at the hospital just happened to be Dr. Carvan. It was absolute serendipity - we could never have chosen better. He was helpful in every way. Dealing with Thomas' medical needs, yes, but also in helping us with navigating bureaucratic issues and with our own emotional troubles. (My wife was in the throws of post-partum depression, which led her to see dire peril for her son everywhere. He even returned calls to us on several weekends and holidays for no reason other than to alleviate her irrational fears.) I couldn't be more thankful for the kindness and dedication that he continues to show to our family

Dr Carvan is an amazing Dr we use to go to Dr Khoriaty for years but then she retired. So we’ve been going to him for a couple of years now. The only complaint that I have is about the two women who work up front Melissa and the other one, they are the most rudest, insensitive and unprofessional people I have ever met. If it wasent for him being such a good Dr I would have changed pediatricians a looooong time ago. I will complain to him when I see him again.

I have been taking all 3 of my kids to Dr. Carvan for the past 11 or 12 years. He’s the most kindest and smartest doctor who takes his time to talk the patient and parent. I highly recommended him.

Dr. Carvan has been the pediatrician of 2 boys since they were born, a 9 yr old and 4 yr old. He' s just wonderful. He listens to all of you concerns and gives you the best care and advice. Always follow up in case you need a call from him, well I wish I have more words to praise him because he's that great! On the negative side, is his secretaries, they're the rudest!!! Always gives you a bad attitude when you call for whenever reason like they're doing a favor to you!!! Just horrible! But since I go for his care I endure those unpleasant moments.

I have two boys, 12 and 16, although they are thankfully healthy, they never hesitate to ask me to make an appointment with Dr. Carvan, for any aches or pains they may come across . He makes them feel very comfortable and is easy to talk to.

Very excellent doctor. I wish to one day become an amazing doctor like doctor carvan. Bless you and all you do for us. I thank you on all our behalf.

he is great ! smart and caring

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Carvan - he truly is an amazing pediatrician! I would easily drive 100 miles to go see this doctor, even if there was thunder, snow, hail, road closures, you get the point. We've had our fair share of pediatricians and I finally feel that we've found the right one - he's understanding, listens! (believe it or not this is a really hard quality to find), hmm... has a great sense of humor (yes, you need that when you have no idea what is going on with your kid and you're stressed out), incredibly efficient, great advice on new parenting/newborns (forget about books, Dr. Carvan provides you with the best advice, and always calls to check-in to see how your child is when he/she is incredibly sick. But beware he is in high demand. Who cares though you'll never see me complaining about waiting an extra 15-20 minutes to see him.
