Dr. James Curtis Elmer, MD

I am from out of time and couldn't believe the wonderful treatment i received from the staff and doctor. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. He listened and took my complains seriously.

This man has the worst social skills ever. When diagnosing me with three cysts due to IVF, he made it sound as that something very bad was going to happen with me. He made it all sound so bad I nearly fainted, which he didn't even notice. Or he was to busy creating a horror story, my husband had to distract me to calm me down. Still not aware of his influence he just left. Two independent IVF specialsists denied his 'diagnose' and said everything was perfecty fine and normal. They mentioned that he clearly had no experience in IVF procedures, although he should have. Do not go to this 'doctor'....

I would and have recommended Dr Elmer to many women. His main goal is to keep you healthy. He definitely will solve any problems you have and always takes the time to ask you about how you are doing.

Dr. Elmer is/was such a blessing to find in Cocoa Beach. He's an amazing doctor with so much knowledge who is willing to explain everything when necessary. He never made me feel like I asked too many questions and that's really saying something. He's kind, courteous and really has the well-being of his patient in mind (something that is lacking in many OB/Gyns these days). I had my 1st child under his care and he never once tried to pressure me to induce if I didn't want to (these days everyone wants to "schedule" a birth). In the end I had a wonderful, unscheduled, 100% natural birth at CCH and he was there for quite a bit of it.I'm so depressed he isn't delivering babies anymore since I'm pregnant with my 2nd child (he stopped OB services on 12/31/11) but I'll be back to him after I deliver for gynecological exams. He's the best.Oh and NEVER waited more than 5 mins for a visit in this office. I'm telling you, he's a machine and his office is well-run.

I had no OB/GYN secondary to moving and traveling out of the states. When we arrived back to the states, I miscarried our baby at 7 weeks. I started to develop sepsis and went to see my PCP. She called Dr. Elmer and he immediately saw me, explained the situation and answered any questions, and performed the necessary surgery D and C and put me on antiobiotics...and all on a Friday afternoon/evening and later came to check on me on Saturday at the hospital. He is very caring and I'm so thankful for his expertise and caring heart. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His quickness and willingness to help may have saved my life.

dr.elmer is the best ob/gyn i have ever had. he is extemely knowledgable in all areas of the female reproductive system. i wish he was an internest so that i could go to him for everything. hes already right on the money with his diagnosis. he is fantastic!!!!!
