Dr. James J Cirbus, MD

Dr. Cirbus wasted three weeks of my brother’s life with his rude, and unprofessional demeanor. My brother had a possible heart attack. He and his wife went to the ER of Jamestown Hospital. When Dr. Cirbus entered the room, and after reviewing the EKG, he said, “I’m surprised your standing.” Instead of admitting him to the hospital, he sent him home with two prescriptions and told him he would see him in 1.5 weeks for an echocardiogram. My brother waited in pain, losing twenty pounds, stressed at home, until the day of his procedure, which took place on a Wednesday. Then the doctor said he had to go out of town and would review the test the following Monday! My brother could have died, because of this doctor’s rushed, unprofessional, uncaring demeanor. Come to find out, Dr. Cirbus’s reputation in Jamestown, NY is very bad. Thankfully, my brother has located by referral a reputable cardiologist, whom he has already seen and has given him hope, explanation and prescription meds to sustain… his heart, as they begin to put him through testing. Do not risk your life with this Dr. Cirbus, or even the Jamestown Hospital. If you are experiencing heart-related issues, go to Buffalo, or Erie Hospitals and avoid the doctor and Jamestown Hospital!

He listens to every single thing I say and answers everything I ask the best Dr I ever had

This is the best cardiologist I have seen. There were 4 previous. This cardiologist is showing he cares, not just doubling a med and off I go

Jamestown is truly blessed to have Dr. Cirbus as a Cardiologist. He meets my issues head on and has cleared up many of my concerns by changing medicines or adjusting doses. He is a wealth of knowledge, and answers all of my questions. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a great Cardiologist.

Dr Cirbus is a wonderful physician. He has taken care of me and my husband for many years. He has gotten us through some scary things. Saved my husbands life with his quick action. Cant say enough good things about him. Just a heartfelt thank you!

I HAVE HAD HEART DISEASE MANY YEARS AND SEEN A ANOTHER DR. FOR YEARS,HOWEVER,I HAD TO MOVE TO JAMESTOWN,AND HAD TO CHANGE TO DR. CIRBUS,HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE HE DIDN'T CARE WHAT OR HOW THE OTHER DR. TREATED MY ILLNESS,IT WAS ONLY GOING TO BE HIS WAY NOW!I KNOW MY BODY BETTER THAN HE,I KNOW WHEN MY SYMPTOMS START OR SUBSIDE,AND MAYBE HE NEEDS TO LISTEN TO HIS PATIENTS MORE AND TAKE HEED.I DIDN'T LIKE HIS ARROGANCE,AND TO TOP IT OFF I HAVE BEEN A NURSE FOR 30 YEARS,I DO KNOW!

He is a good cardiologist in general, but no bedside manner and when seeing him in public he doesn't even take a minute to talk to me at all. He more or less just says "Hi" maybe if he says anything at all and doesn't even ask how I am doing or feeling since I haven't seen him professionally in quite a while, he doesn't have the time of day for me.

I was diagnosed with heart problems 12 years ago and had an aeortic valve replaced. I've been on coumadin (rat poison) since and my Protime hasn't varied too many times from the norm (3.5). Today I was told they no longer wanted to treat me as I didn't get checked often enough. He didn't have the stature to tell me this face-to-face and after waiting 40 minutes for a Protime check, I was turned away by his office manager (who learned his sour bedside manner I witnessed 12 years ago, basically telling me to find someone else. He'll not fill any more prescriptions and without them, I'm a dead man. Now I'm trying to find a friendlier, understanding caregiver.
