Dr. James Dennis Mathews

Dr. Matthews was irritable, condescending, and completely wrong in his diagnoses. After receiving my husband's blood work, he not only misdiagnosed him but lacked the expertise in seeing obvious patterns in my his blood work. Thankfully, we spoke with a nurse shortly afterward. She was shocked and dismayed at the diagnoses. She told us to go to a specific doctor that she trusted. This doctor not only diagnosed my husband within 5 minutes but caught some other pertinent and troublesome patterns. He was able to quickly take some tests (that Dr. Mathews should have been able to ascertain but didn't) and solve and medicate another serious illness. Dr. Matthews should not be seen for anything other than the common cold, simple allergies, and easily deduced illnesses. After having talked with several other community members, we found we were not alone in our assessment of Dr. Matthews. While I do not like to disparage anyone, I feel that Dr. Matthews missed some very important clues and… blatant information that even a quick check on the Internet would have found. If we had not had the good fortune to speak to the particular nurse I spoke of earlier, my husband could have died within 2-3 years.

Dr. Mathews is very professional and very easy to talk to.
